📑 New paper in @eClinicalMed.
Our new meta-analysis of 78 studies (n≈20,000) shows #pain after #SCI isn't just a physical problem. It's linked to mood, thoughts and social context, with real implications for how we treat it.

Excited to have hosted students for #2025SciX Summer School @UNSWScience. Students explored our neurofeedback, EEG, and virtual reality systems.
Proud to inspire the next generation of #STEM innovators through research, teaching and outreach @PainIMPACTNeuRA.
The objective of this #SpinalCord paper is to describe an EEG neurofeedback intervention that will be provided in a randomised controlled trial for people with neuropathic pain following #SpinalCordInjury. For the results see (open access!) ➡️ https://t.co/HEW7EzMqpv

Honoured to have our review on emotion-focused psychological interventions for chronic pain chosen as #EJP Editor's Choice! #EmotionRegulation#ChronicPain
Congrats to @HSNegin and @SylviaGustin2 on their latest publication in @JournalSCI. Their novel home-based EEG neurofeedback intervention offers exciting new insights for managing neuropathic pain after SCI.

The review findings suggest optimism for the analgesic effect of EEG #neurofeedback, underscoring the need for robust RCTs. Our forthcoming #StoPain trial will compare this intervention with standard care in a fully-powered RCT for people with #NeuropathicPain after #SCI.
Are you interested in #EEG neurofeedback to regulate abnormal brain activity associated with chronic #pain? Our research group summarised the evidence with this systematic review and is conducting trials to clarify the evidence. @SylviaGustin2@HSNegin
