So, I shared this video of iShowSpeed telling a young Zimbabwean lady with natural hair that she is beautiful. I shared it with Dr Solomon Guramatunhu, who is Zimbabwe’s leading eye surgeon and has been a proponent of natural hair for years, educating both men and women about the dangers of using human hair bought from different countries.
I do not know who this young woman is, but Dr Guramatunhu asked me to pass on a message. As long as he is still practising as an eye surgeon in Zimbabwe, this young lady will have free access to medical eye-care and consultations at his practice.
His practice will also pay for her spectacles if she ever needs them, and will cover all her eye care.
This is his way of showing appreciation for her choice to wear natural hair, something that was noticed by iSpeed when he acknowledged her beauty.
I commend Kenya for its remarkable progress in addressing statelessness and supporting refugees through inclusive and sustainable arrangements: exemplary.
Great initiative by #GreatmanMusic. RETWEET and help him reach as many people as possible!
You know what, my people? A retweet costs you nothing. And when you see somebody who is disabled, like Great Man, pushing this initiative, it should shame us who are able-bodied that we are not able to assist those who are disabled.
The least we can do is to RETWEET so that those who have the heart to help can actually support this cause.
So I ask you again, please RETWEET this initiative that Great Man, who is disabled, has started to assist people like him who are disabled.
It costs you nothing at all as a Zimbabwean or an African to simply RETWEET, or as any other nationality.
At least 30.4 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance in Sudan, in 2025.
As of August, only 13.5 million people had received some form of assistance.
The needs outweigh available resources; more funding is required to scale up response.

Why are you in Black today? A colleague asked me at work. I had to explain #ThursdaysinBlack is a global movement and campaign against #GBV#WCC@ACTAlliance
Heavy downpour in Juba this morning. I am glad that the amount of plastic bottles being washed away is minimal. My next challenge is the single use plastic bags. Let’s get rid of them too. #SSOX
“Education is not a luxury, it is a life-saving intervention. When education is funded, children survive, heal, and thrive. When it is not, children suffer… No child should be denied education…” @fca_SouthSudan CD @SemeNelson during his remark #MaridiTeacherGraduation2025
🇸🇸's education budget is shrinking fast.
From 8.5% in 2018 to just 2.7% in 2025, far below the global 15-20% benchmark.
FCA joined @MoGEI_SSD & partners to advocate for urgent funding, teacher support & stronger education policy.
No learner or teacher should be left behind.
South Sudan continues to experience tensions, which have caused displacement and increased vulnerability in some households.
Through #FCADisasterFund, @fca_SouthSudan is providing cash assistance in Juba County (Gumbo, Gorom, Kator, Mangateen, & Gabat) for 4 months. #SSOX
🟢 Indigenous Peoples have a wealth of wisdom and knowledge when it comes to environmental protection. How can global communities and Indigenous People’s Organizations partner and collaborate together to address climate emergencies?

As part of @fca_SouthSudan's ongoing humanitarian response for refugees & returnees in #GoromRefugeeSettlement, we continue to supply dignity kits to girls in need.

This is the British Foreign Minister, David Lammy, rallying international support to address the Sudan crisis.
He describes it as worse than Gaza, calling it the worst humanitarian crisis on earth.
Where are the African leaders? The last time, they flew private jets to Europe to try to stop a war more than 5,000 miles away, yet they remain silent about a crisis right on their doorstep!
The absence of African leaders from the international conversation on Sudan is disheartening.
