Director of the Department for Combating Antisemitism and Holocaust Remembrance at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel. A proud Zionist.
I met with Additional Minister in the Ministry of Finance of Israel Zeev Elkin, who is here now with the Israeli delegation for the anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy. It was a horrific tragedy, but it is important that they took the time to come here during these days of remembrance – days that Russia is trying to make extremely difficult for our people with its aerial terror. Of course, it was Iran that provided Russia with the technology to produce these jet-powered “shaheds,” and it has used essentially the same kind of weapon to attack Israel. We discussed these and other threats, as well as the overall situation in the Middle East. Strong relations between Ukraine and Israel could certainly contribute to our shared security.
50 years on, the words of my father, Chaim Herzog, then Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, ring as true today as they did then.
Those who claim the antisemitic lie that “Zionism is racism” deliberately endanger Jews and Israelis everywhere.
Zionism is the national liberation movement of the Jewish people and the foundation of our right to a state and a national home in the Land of Israel.
No motion, in any party or any parliament, will ever change these eternal truths.
Erinnern an Leben.
Ohne Ausnahme.
Twenty-five years ago, under the pretense of confronting racism, the UN’s Durban Conference fueled antisemitic hatred and became a blueprint for demonizing Israel.
Prof. Dina Porat, a leading scholar who attended with Israel’s delegation, examines Durban’s role in the rise of the “new antisemitism.”

Mazal tov to @DeborahLipstadt and @EmoryUniversity on the launch of the Emory Policy Institute on Countering Antisemitism.
Amb. Lipstadt has dedicated her life and career to confronting antisemitism and is uniquely qualified to lead this important new institute.
AJC looks forward to continuing to work with Amb. Lipstadt and supporting her vital work to combat antisemitism and protect Jewish communities.

We are appalled by the deeply disturbing testimonies of Jewish healthcare workers and patients facing antisemitism within the UK NHS system.
This is not merely unacceptable. It is a profound and ongoing institutional failure that demands accountability and decisive action.
No Jewish patient should fear prejudice when seeking medical care, and no Jewish healthcare professional should face hatred or intimidation at work or in their union.
Antisemitism has no place in the NHS or in any other organisation. This is where the UK Government must actually reset its approach and take decisive action to confront and eradicate antisemitism.

B’nai Brith Canada has secured a major victory for the community in Federal Court.
The Court has now ordered the Canadian government to disclose previously redacted portions of a document that includes important information about the resettlement of alleged Nazi war criminals in Canada after the Second World War.

Ada Yonath 1939 - 2026 🕯️
We join the international scientific community and her family and many friends in mourning the passing of Professor Ada Yonath, 2009 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry and the first Israeli woman to win the award.
Her legacy lives on through her groundbreaking research into the ribosome, the cell’s protein factory, and the countless students she inspired.
Our thoughts are with her close ones - may her memory be a blessing!
Today, Sweden marks Raoul Wallenberg Day.
His courage during the Holocaust reminds us of the power of individuals to stand against hatred and indifference.
As antisemitism rises, his legacy remains as relevant as ever: we all have a responsibility to act.
Ceremonies honoring the Righteous Among the Nations remind us that history is shaped not only by perpetrators, but also by those who chose moral courage. Their example challenges each generation to stand against hatred, antisemitism, and indifference. @IsraelinNL

"Free Palestine. Heil Hitler."
When Nazi slogans appear alongside anti-Israel chants, it reminds us that antisemitism can unite extremists across ideologies. We have seen this before - from the alliance between the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Nazi Germany. We know where such hatred leads. Antisemitism must be condemned - always, without excuses and without double standards.
We never leave anyone behind.
44 years after IDF soldier Yehuda Katz fell in the First Lebanon War, his remains have finally been recovered and brought home.
We never stop searching. We never forget. 🇮🇱
After the MIFF tent was vandalised earlier this week in Arendal, Norwegian politicians said it was unacceptable in a democracy.
Last night, the tent was torn apart.
When words fail, what action will the government take?
The @APA's decision to delay recognizing the Association of Jewish Psychologists, for the second time this year, serves no purpose and has no justification.
Jewish identity encompasses religion, ethnicity and culture.
Dismissing that complexity to deny Jewish psychologists the same representation afforded to every other ethnic minority group is both factually wrong and a clear double standard.
The Council's job was to evaluate AJP's eligibility under its own bylaws, not to referee political disagreements or impose ideological litmus tests on a Jewish professional organization.

🌳 Happy International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.
Just a reminder: the Jewish people are indigenous to the Land of Israel.
Like the roots of this tree, our roots run deep.
Shavua Tov from Israel. 🇮🇱
