@inthefade Honestly this inspired me to join a local buy nothing group to see if I can get as lucky. I've been wanting to get out of my own comfort zone with music and load up a few iPods I bought off of good will. I'm tired of perpetually renting music from services.
@inthefade This is incredible. I think this could end up being an entire series of essays on the meaning of / enjoyment of physical media and these albums.
@GailSimone "Tomorrow Wendy" by Concrete Blonde. The live version from the AIDS benefit concert. Haunting and angry and still stuck with me almost 30 years later.
@THEBRYANHITCH @robertliefeld As a kid I bought solely for the art - didn't matter what it was if the art was the kind I liked (Lee, Liefeld, Silvestri, etc.), I bought it. As I got older I started buying more based on the writer. These days I get super excited when it's a team where I love both.
@JimZub New 52 was the first time I bought floppies in more than a decade and had me checking out Characters I had NEVER given a chance before. Geoff Johns and Ivan Reiss run on Aquaman was OUTSTANDING for a character i never gave a damn about.
@inthefade This showed up in my youtube recommends and made me think of you.
And Fred Durst doing his "Grumpy old Dad" bit may be the best comedy skit I've seen in a while.
