Two years ago today, the world watched in horror as Hamas terrorists murdered, raped and kidnapped innocent men, women & children.
Today on October 7th I am remembering the hostages and all who were brutally taken from us at the hands of Hamas.
To the Jewish people- I stand with you. I mourn with you and I will forever be by your side in the fight against evil and anti-semitism in all forms.
Bring them home NOW
Hatred of the hostages and seeking to erase them was one of the most reprehensible features of the immediate support for Hamas genocide that took place after Oct. 7. A well coordinated campaign, it was driven primarily by young women college students in the US and abroad.
It has never been revealed how the pro-Hamas lobby was able to operationalize this. How they coordinated it or the language they used to get the young activists to think it was normal to rip down photos of civilian hostages.
Most college students don't see the image of a young woman who has been kidnapped and run to rip it down. Some of these students would go out for hours to do this. It was the western component of Oct. 7. In essence, Hamas did the kidnapping, but western far-leftists marched to erase the images of the hostages.
What we do know about this systematic attempt is that some of those who did it claimed that the posters were "genocide propaganda." This means that the campaign likely told the students that the posters were part of an Israeli campaign to justify attacking Gaza.
This should be explained. Hamas kidnaps 250 people, including children and the elderly. Then the pro-Hamas lobby wants to erase any images of these people so they claim that by showing the image of a victim of Hamas one is supporting "genocide." This is how Hamas is able to continue its crimes. It murders and kidnaps people and then relies on western supporters to complete the erasure. This is part of a larger ideology of genocide in the region that targets minorities. In most cases the minorities will be murdered and then the extremists will claim the group never existed and claim the mass murder never happened; and even change the names of the places to replace the indigenous names (i.e Kurdish names) with foreign names of the invaders.
Genocide. Erase. Genocide more. Erase.
Why did young women college students who are self-defined progressives, see Hamas men with AKs as romantic and think photos of elderly hostages should be erased? We won't get the activists on record explaining themselves but it's still worth asking.
700 days.
700 days without their loved ones.
700 days in degrading conditions of detention.
I call for the immediate release of all hostages still held by Hamas. Barbarism and suffering have lasted far too long.
Evyatar David is 24 years old. He went to a music festival on October 7 and was taken hostage.
He is being starved to death in the same tunnels where terrorists are feasting on stolen aid.
As a Dual British-Israeli citizen who survived 471 days in Hamas captivity, I am deeply saddened by your decision @Keir_Starmer to recognise Palestinian statehood. This move does not advance peace—it risks rewarding terror. It sends a dangerous message: that violence earns legitimacy.
By legitimising a state entity while Hamas still controls Gaza and continues its campaign of terror, you are not promoting a solution; you are prolonging the conflict. Recognition under these conditions emboldens extremists and undermines any hope for genuine peace.
Shame on you.
Praying for the safety of the people of Iran and Israel.
There has never been a war between our people, only a failed attempt to divide an ancient bond between old friends.
Iranians & Jews/Israelis will remain united as ever, and our 2,500 year friendship will only be strengthened as we stand shoulder to shoulder through this. On the other side, there will be no daylight between us.
Yaron and Sarah were our friends and colleagues. They were in the prime of their lives.
This evening, a terrorist shot and killed them as they exited an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in DC.
The entire embassy staff is heartbroken and devastated by their murder. No words can express the depth of our grief and horror at this devastating loss.
Our hearts are with their families, and the embassy will be by their side during this terrible time.
