Mr. President: I have a better idea. Instead of spending over a trillion dollars on never-ending wars abroad while plunging the working class into poverty here at home, let’s invest in universal childcare, Medicare for All and affordable housing.
America first!
More information about Punch, the baby monkey at Ichikawa Zoo in Japan.
He was abandoned by his mother shortly after birth and has been hand‑raised by zookeepers.
They gave him a plush orangutan toy, which he carries everywhere, hugging it while he sleeps, using it for comfort when he feels nervous, and even taking it with him as he interacts with the other monkeys.
In mid‑January, Punch was successfully introduced to a group of other macaques at the zoo, though he still stays close to his cuddly companion as he adjusts.
Most of these influencers/YouTubers are in their early 20s, meaning they only started watching football seriously from the 2010s. Salah, KDB, Van Dijk, etc are the first decent footballers they watched, Pep and Klopp the first managers, etc. These are all they have ever known having never experienced anything else. By default, they regard these players/managers as superior to those from the previous generation.
When they have to talk about the period they did not/were too young to experience personally, they resort to stats.
Raw stats will tell you Salah has better numbers. But it will not tell you that Salah was bought by Liverpool as a fully developed player at 25 while Ronaldo came to Utd as a teenager and had a fair bit of development to do. A better comparison would be comparing their numbers between the ages of 18 and 24 (Ronaldo left Utd for Real Madrid at 24). But they won't do that.
Raw stats also won't tell you about the quality of defenders these players faced. While Ronaldo constantly faced Terry, Cole, Campbell, Carvalho, etc, Salah faced the likes of Kompany, Vertonghen, Baines and Cahill. Do you honestly think this is comparable?
Raw stats won't also tell you how Ronaldo terrorised teams with pace, power and trickery between 2006-09 that no player has ever been able to come close to that.
Raw stats will not tell you that 34 of Salah's 184 Goals are penalties while Ronaldo's numbers have only 11 penalties.
Raw stats alone can't explain why he’s the only PL forward to win the Ballon d'Or since Michael Owen in 2001. Why hasn't Mo Salah, 'the greatest PL winger' been able to win it?
Raw stats also won't tell you why Real Madrid forked out a world record £80m fee (inflation adjusted fee of £195m) for him in 2009 after pursuing him for 2 years.
I always say stats without context are meaningless. This is another instance.
Next time get someone who has actually experienced the PL to do these debates @SkySports
If the judge is married to a former Big Pharma exec but prosecution vows to weed out jurors with "disabilities" assuming they've had bad experiences with the health insurance industry (since they have to deal with it frequently), what exactly about this case is impartial or fair
You will understand a lot about libs when you understand why they can’t just be like “yeah Elon is smart but he’s still evil like Lex Luthor” and instead have to insist that he’s stupid and has no talent
Dems have spent the past 8 years destroying the one movement that could have saved them. Bernie's class first populism won over exactly the type of voters (Latinos, working class, bros, Joe Rogan!) that Dems now repel. https://t.co/LhfSDK5pUb
Say what you will about the GOP, they saw where their base was headed and the party followed them. The Democrats have showed nothing but contempt for their base. And here we are.
maybe, just maybe, the democrats should try offering voters a vision of the future or any value proposition besides not being the other guy. just a thought
remember kids, if you are a minority but have your own opinions and aren't useful as a token to leftists, they'll just revert to Original Flavor Racism™
"How could they do this to PROTESTORS?!" stems from the leftist attitude of assigning no importance to one's actions but supreme importance to one's title. Just like identity politics, what you actually did doesn't matter so long as you identify as a protestor.
