New blog post: How good is Google's new AI podcast generator? Spoiler: so good that it makes it even harder to spot the usual LLM hallucinations and omissions! https://t.co/6XMaZxJmwj
"It is not for nothing that "Naming things" is one of the Two Hard Problems Of Computer Science (the others are "cache invalidation" and "fencepost errors")." @qntm https://t.co/rIupTPzMaZ. Never thought I would be laughing at a fencepost error joke.
@AndrewDuck_ Hey! Just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed your blog on respecting & evolving from stakeholder solutions. Have been sharing it around in and outside NHS. Hope all's well!
Thought provoking morning at the AI-fringe unconference. Best discussion: is there always an ethical imperative to tell users they're interacting with AI? (If it could lead to better outcomes if you didn't!)
@tomskerous Just bought some knobs from there to go on a DIY arduino drone synth I'm dreaming up. Surely making my own instruments will stop me from buying them ...
Great stuff here for product managers too. Using stakeholders' own language to describe what you and the delivery team are doing (and what you want to accomplish) is def a big one
@jiggott Really interesting James. Got me thinking about whether there's value for us in a higher-level roadmap aligned to sub-direcorate objectives that shows how lower-level products are delivering on those objectives
@jukesie And to echo what others have said, 'solid' here is mostly about scaling up and that is hard to stress test in private beta sometimes. Support journeys that scale for 100 users may easily collapse for 1000. As an assessor scaling is something i want to see rigorously tested
@jukesie I like to conceptualise private beta in two parts: 1. build MVP according to alpha findings, continue to iterate the shape of that MVP based on feedback and test parts but not full end to end. 2. test end to end and iterate until confident that MVP is solid
I just gave a short talk about what it's like to be a product manager in the NHS for people who are considering moving into that role from their current NHS roles. Here are 4 'intro to product management' links I shared... 🧵
@stevenjmesser@GDSTeam@Pegg@GOVUK@NHSDigital Too kind :) Thanks Steve. You've had a massive impact on product, team and culture even in this short amount of time. Please return one day and help us continue the good fight!
