@ChildHealthhero If I do not spend enough time in motion I can feel it in my epidural spot for sure. Or if its been too long between workouts I will have pretty significant pain in that area as I try to begin my workout. Day to day it doesn’t bother me. I recommend chiropractic for sure
@CuriousBunnie12 Hog your baby & nurse him all you want. If you are concerned about how much milk hes transferring weigh him with a large food scale before & after you feed him to see how much hes getting
@LadyNimby Is there any media shes consuming where a character is behaving in a similar way? Books, tv, a movie, anything? Seems like something she picked up from somewhere, especially if you’re already doing everything in your power to discourage it
@cactusncookies I don’t totally disagree, it depends on where the caregivers were, what they were doing, & their prior understanding of the victims mental state (baseline & at the time of the incident). Were they chilling on a bench nearby? Or were they searching for him in another area.
@average_garg@egreghost “The alumni shit” = the previous msg about free pussy “is not a bit” = is not a joke/its real. “First person POV” = You can have sex with her yourself, not just watch
@DundattaMTN@simonateba Hes saying he moves 195 lb people all the time in his field. Sheet drags or limb lifts of supine pts from similar height surfaces are difficult enough and require multiple people. Lifting a 200+ lb load from the ground to another surface 30” above it is going to be a lot harder.
@xQwirk Not that this is your main point at all, but due to her ongoing suicidality it is highly unlikely that she will ever be completely free of intense psych care, regardless of a NGRI or NG decision. Even in prison she will receive some (likely inadequate) psych care.
@Madeittoofar@celestialbe1ng Did you even listen to the juror interviews? The prevailing verdict would have been not guilty by reason of insanity, not a full acquittal
The only time I will mention the Clancy trial on here (as someone who spent 3 years in defence including a female NGRI homicide case. and actually WATCHED every single day of the trial - taking full attendance notes as if I was on the jury/defence).
I hope to god that none of the people cheering on that 1 male juror EVER get called for jury duty.
The fact you refuse to, or just pretend you don’t, understand that 11 people had reasonable doubt, and that this one man did admit he had doubts but said he didn’t care, completely ignoring the law on reasonable doubt and the judges instructions is genuinely frightening.
This was not a “I genuinely believe this on the facts, the forensic and testimonial evidence, and the judges instructions as to the law as to what’s being asked of me” and they simply disagreed on verdict. That wouldn’t be an issue. This man told his fellow jurors that yes, he did actually see points of doubt, but he was going to ignore that entirely.
He should be held in contempt as this is jurors misconduct. And I hope to god none of you ever have to be judged by a juror like that.
Genuinely embarrassing that some people think someone not following the law of the principle of reasonable doubt during the process of their civic duty is “based” or something to admire. And more embarrassing still, that you speak on this with such confidence without knowing a single element of the case other than what you’ve seen from snippets from right wing podcast bros online.
You didn’t watch the case, you don’t understand what’s even being asked of the jury, you continue to ignore the actual background of any of the legal arguments, you refuse to acknowledge the constitutional right of presumption of innocence and fair trial, you play “hear no evil, see no evil” around the ‘admissions’ without acknowledging all of the not guilty pleas, you don’t understand why an NGRI defence was raised or the circumstances surrounding it, and you don’t even understand what’s happening legally, forensically, medically, psychologically. Whatsoever.
Honestly disappointing seeing seemingly smart people behave like that. Particularly people who claim to have discernment.
Do they not go over the judicial process in civics classes? I'm seeing grown men and women, some with thousands or even millions of followers, who don't seem to understand the insanity defense or its history, what criminal liability is and how intent plays into our laws, what "precedent" means, how juries work, or the fact that one trial not going the way that you want, even a highly televised one, is not a reflection of the wider culture or an indightment on our jury system as a whole.
I do worry, however, that the insane and stupid discussion around the Clancy trial is an indightment on how easily some people are driven to hysteria and how much of a failure our education system is.
@QueenMab87 @Burttheele Technically nobody is ever found innocent. LC can be found not guilty & not guilty by reason of insanity though. 2 different things.
Can we stop blaming the Lindsay Clancy jury? These are 12 people unlucky enough to have their numbers pulled. They sat for weeks listening to the most heartbreaking and devastating case imaginable. Then they were handed a web of complicated legal options like second degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, and not guilty by reason of insanity, and expected to kumbaya their way to a unanimous verdict.
If this case was a slam dunk it would have been a plea deal. It is incredibly complicated and reasonable people can disagree. These poor people were basically held captive, paid fifty bucks a day, and given a crappy deli sandwich on stale bread to show for it. They are not the enemy here.
Trust me, you do not want a justice system that gives judges and the government unlimited power to throw you in jail. Juries serve a crucial purpose whether you like the final result or not.
