A year has passed since the tragic traffic death of Eli Bender. Please join us for a vigil this Saturday, June 13th at 11 AM at Jersey Ave & 6th St to honor Eli's memory and to recommit to taking action and preventing any loss of life on Jersey City streets.
.@EmMorgen and @HudCoStreets advocacy got Hudson County residents more frequent weekend PATH service.
Hudson County is studying BRT on JFK but it is up to us voters to keep up the advocacy and make sure we get fast, reliable and frequent buses in Hudson County.
Go vote!
Bus passengers are more than 70x safer per mile than car passengers. They save thousands of dollars a year. They log 30 million rides a year in Hudson County alone.
So why are we still building parking decks?
Today is election day. Read @EmMorgen' case for BRT on JFK👇
Much of May was spent putting out fires — which begs the question about whether @NJTRANSIT and @Amtrak are ready for World Cup in 11 days.
Aside from blazes, the two railroads have other day-to-day problems they’re trying to prevent.

I had a great time with @HudCoStreets this weekend MCing their North Jersey Transit Forum right here in Jersey City!
With so many experts and advocates in one place, we talked about what a world class transit system could look like for New Jersey — and how to make it happen.

Our region has more transportation choices! With 10% using transit (versus 3% nationally) and 8% carpooling, we're leading the way in sustainable commuting. Learn more: https://t.co/Jbiap0GJYG

The @PANYNJ quietly added and raised new fees and tolls to help pay for the new $11B Port Authority Bus Terminal - so quiet even its own users didn't know.
Its biggest user - @NJTRANSIT - is facing a 60% increase in costs in FY27, compared to FY25.

The World Cup is coming. So is congestion and pollution. A call from our president, Johan Andrade, on the need for getting Hudson County World-Cup-ready with quick build bus lanes, bike lanes, and pedestrian corridors before it's too late
Across our state, people tell me the same thing: NJ TRANSIT riders aren’t being served as well as they should be.
That’s why I signed an Executive Order to speed up progress on long overdue improvements to the ridership experience – including better lighting, cleaner stations, a more reliable app, and more.
We aren't waiting to improve the commuting experience.
We are building a better NJ TRANSIT for our commuters. I've directed @NJTRANSIT to take concrete steps to:
✅Repair escalators and elevators
✅Brighten station lighting
✅Improve signs
✅More thoroughly clean buses and trains, stations and stops
✅Overhaul the NJ TRANSIT app and website
✅Make live bus and train updates more reliable
The Turnpike Authority's traffic analysis said they did not need the Marist High School property for a new 440 on-ramp because another was just 5 blocks away. They eminent domained it and acquired it anyways. In current plans, the property will no longer be used for the on-ramp.
A week after opponents pitched their one bridge option, Gov. Sherrill downsized the controversial NJ Turnpike twin bridge project over Newark Bay https://t.co/CvY5IYVUVk
