In the latest story for Moonshot, I spotlight the participatory budgeting trend, charting its rise across the world in cities like Paris and San Francisco, and its potential to help address big challenges. Thanks to @allegretto70 for lending his expertise! https://t.co/4seKpErwd2
We've seen tons of innovation in technology, but less by way of democracy. That narrative is starting to change, and an idea like participatory budgeting, where everyday people, not just politicians, decide how a city should spend its money, is worth exploring.
