As a kid I drew hundreds of Chicago Bulls logos. First logo love.

Later came spray-paint designs for Counter-Strike on cracked Photoshop versions, my own clothing label as a teenager, and a visit with Adrian Frutiger at his house that decided everything: this craft would be my life.

The list twenty years later: Apple, Nike, Mugler, 032c. The Salomon logo I redesigned debuted at the Winter Olympics.

What the list doesn't show: I always had a hundred ambitions at once, and too often stood at the edge of burnout. The question that saved me became my life's work. How do we do our best work without postponing ourselves?

PRESENT is my answer. Founded in New York in 2016 as a print magazine, sold in 25+ countries today. Now it's a global community of Modern Makers, a weekly newsletter, a podcast, and an app called presentOS. Every two weeks we meet to get closer to our Favorite Unrealized Projects. Together.

I'm writing my first book, Do The Thing, and building the next version of presentOS.

Here I post Present Principles, stories from 20 years of craft, and the systems I build in public.
