Today, we honor the vision, unity, and determination that laid the foundation of the United Arab Emirates.

Union Pledge Day is a reminder that great nations are built when people stand together with a shared purpose. From the historic pledge that led to the formation of the UAE to the remarkable achievements we witness today, this nation continues to inspire the world.

As someone who has spent most of my life in this beautiful country, I feel grateful for the opportunities, safety, tolerance, and progress the UAE has provided to millions of people from around the world.

May the UAE continue to flourish under its wise leadership, and may its values of unity, ambition, and coexistence remain a source of inspiration for generations to come.

خواجہ صاحب!

کل جب آپ اقتدار کے نشانے پر تھے تو آپ آمریت، آزادیٔ اظہار، آئین اور جمہوریت کی بات کرتے تھے۔ آج جب اقتدار آپ کے ساتھ کھڑا ہے تو وہی سب کچھ آپ کو معمول لگنے لگا ہے۔
آج بھی میڈیا دباؤ کا شکار ہے، عدلیہ پر سوالات اٹھ رہے ہیں، آئین کو اپنی اصل ��وح کے مطابق چلانے پر بحث ہو رہی ہے، پارلیمنٹ کی نمائندگی پر اعتراضات کیے جا رہے ہیں، اور سیاسی سرگرمیوں کے لیے بھی یکساں مواقع موجود نہیں۔ پاکستان کی ایک بڑی سیاسی جماعت انتخابی نشان سے بھی محروم رہی۔
فرق صرف اتنا ہے کہ اُس وقت آپ متاثرہ فریق تھے، آج کوئی اور ہے۔
لیکن تاریخ کا پہیہ ہمیشہ ایک سمت میں نہیں گھومتا۔ اقتدار عارضی ہوتا ہے، کرسیاں ہمیشہ ایک ہی شخص کی نہیں رہتیں، اور وقت ہر کردار کا امتحان لیتا ہے۔
اس لیے دانشمندی اسی میں ہے کہ اصولوں کا دفاع اس وقت بھی کیا جائے جب وہ آپ کے مخالف کے حق میں ہوں۔ کیونکہ جب انصاف صرف اپنے لیے مانگا جائے تو وہ انصاف نہیں، مفاد بن جاتا ہے۔

یاد رکھیے، وقت بدلتا ہے، حکومتیں بدلتی ہیں، اور تاریخ ہر دور کے کرداروں کا حساب ضرور لکھتی ہے۔
کرسی ہمیشہ طاقت نہیں دیتی، اصل طاقت انصاف کے ساتھ کھڑے ہونے میں ہے۔

اس حکومت نے قسم کھائی ہے کہ ہم نے ��وئی آچھا کام نہیں کرنا ہے۔
۲۰۱۳ میں جب میاں صاحب کی حکومت آئی تو ہم نے بحثیت تنظیم مشورہ دیا کہ بیرون ملک سے پاکستان پیسے بھیجنے کی حد دو سو ڈالر سے کم کرکے سو ڈالر کی جائے، کیونکہ دو سو ڈالر سے کم بھیجنے پر ٹیکس ہوتا تھا اور ہمارا جی سی سی کا مزدور کماتا ہی ۲۰۰ ڈالرز ہیں تو خرچہ نکال کر ۲۰۰ بچتے نہیں اور پھر ٹیکس سے بچنے کے لئے ہونڈی سے پیسہ بھیجتا ہے، اگر حد کم ہوجائے تو لیگل چینل سے پیسہ آئیگا بہرحال وہ میاں صاحب اس نے کونسی تجویز سنی تھی۔
پھر خان صاحب آئے یہی تجویز دی گئی اور اس نے فوراً حد سو ڈالر کردی اور پھر ان کو تجویز دی گئی کہ ہمارا ملک چلتا ہی بیرونی ملک پاکستانیوں کے ریمٹنس پر ہے لہذا ان کے لئے کچھ انعامی سکیم ہونی چاہئے۔
انعامی سکیم کے بجائے یہ سوھنی دھرتی اسکیم آئی اور اس کا فائدہ آپ خود ۲۰۲۳ کے بعد ریمٹنس کا ڈیٹا نکال کر دیکھ لیں۔

بہرحال اب سوھنی دھرتی بھی انجام کو پہنچ گئی تو اب پھر سے ہونڈی کو تقویت ملی گی۔

Work on the Al Maktoum International Airport expansion continues according to the approved timeline, with Phase 1 scheduled to begin operations in 2032. Contracts worth AED13 billion are currently being executed, and more than 10 million work hours have been completed over the past 15 months. Strategic project contracts exceeding AED55 billion are set to be awarded in the coming months.The airport is being developed to handle more than a quarter of a billion passengers annually, supporting Dubai's long-term economic growth. Under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s major projects continue to advance with steady progress and confidence.
