In Surat, 100 houses were demolished. The people whose houses were demolished went to the Surat Municipal Corporation office with the demand to provide alternative arrangements, but the corporation was told that they did not demolish these houses. According to locals, When the houses were being demolished, high-ranking police officers were present, Surat Corporation engineers were also present. If Surat Corporation is denying that they did not demolish these houses, Then who demolished 100s of houses? Even after 12 days of this incident, Surat Corporation has not been able to answer who demolished these houses?
Surat police told The Indian Express that they received an application and other required documents from SMC authorities to provide security for the demolition in the Nasirnagar slums.

The doctor’s name is Dr. P.K. Chaturvedi. He originally demanded ₹25,000 for the surgery.
