@ArturSmiarowski Roguelikes often instead focus on Lore and/or History. The story of the PC is bare bones. But the world is rich with stories of days past, the NPCs have complex motives and vibrant personalities, even rare items tend to have elaborate subtext.
@ArturSmiarowski You should check out the proc gen in the (realtime) roguelike Noita. It uses what the author names Herringbone Wang Tiles to mix hand crafted sections into random arrangements. It too me along time to notice the patterns, and it was rare.
@ArturSmiarowski Reorganise your scope. Shelve some of your scope for now. Buy some pretty little containers to store your extra scope in. That's your display scope, you're never actually going to use it, but it looks nice, doesn't it?
@MaxPowerMtl@ZachWeiner Unfortunately, in the real world competition between the 5 plumits, then a) there's a demand for differences b) small (very inefficient) suppliers pop up c) few survive to be a threat d) those ones get bought up and become a new flavour of one of the big 5
@eigenbom I did operator training when they first came out, didn't realise there was no button press feedback, I pressed reprint receipt about 50 times before it started printing the first one... 10 mins later it was still printing them lmao
