It is totally normal to feel this way sometimes. Trying to get things to work while being in the minority can feel like swimming against a very strong current.
However, drowning or letting the tide sweep us away are not options available to those of us whose palm kernels have been cracked for us by the gods.
The tide will subside eventually. It always does in the end. We must keep swimming until it does. Not necessarily for ourselves but for others that we give hope to. It is a burden we must bear for the undeserved blessings that have been bestowed on us.
As @segalink suggested, take a break and refresh. I take frequent long breaks, removing myself from the boiling cauldron several times a year to regain my strength and perspective of normalcy. A privilege that many don’t have, for which I am grateful.
