@BushraMadni Funny how a bahu is expected to care for her in laws, but the moment she herself falls sick n needs care, she’s sent back to her parents bcz her in laws can’t or won’t look after her. If the expectation is that she should be there for them, the responsibility should go both ways
Honestly, with this level of production and casting, #Zanjeerain is such a wasted opportunity. But watching it turn into a complete circus and a weekly laughing stock has become the real entertainment. We are strictly here for the comedy show now ... and the memes of course 😜
Dananeer criticizing Devdas is not nearly as embarrassing as grown men having public meltdowns over it. A film having legendary actors does not place it beyond criticism. Calling a young woman intellectually shallow while pretending to be respectful is peak desi uncle behavior.
If Dananeer were not a woman, I would have simply included her in my list of ‘intellectually idiots’, but I staunchly believe that respect and courtesy are the inalienable prerogatives of a woman.
Having said that, a junior actress,
accidentally went viral for a raw video ‘party ho ree hai’, has the audacity to critique a blockbuster movie produced twice, featuring two superstars of their times- Dilip Kumar and Shahraukh Khan-let alone female superstars like Vijantimala, Madhuri and Ashwariya.
This happens only when one grabs success or fame without going through much struggle or little struggle. Same phenonmenon goes with some of our political ‘nepo babies’.
@fnakhi Funny how the tweet starts with a lecture about respect for every individual and immediately follows it by mocking Dananeer’s intelligence, fame and “level” because she disliked a movie.
Embarking on timely tour of Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow.
Purpose of my visits is to closely coordinate with our partners on bilateral matters and consult on regional developments.
Our neighbors are our priority.
@sarimrashid Story of almost every house help and I’ve seen similar patterns in close family too. I personally know quite a few such cases. It’s not universal, but it’s more common than people assume in long term marriages
Poor timing, Khawaja Asif!
Coming from the Defence Minister of a country brokering high stakes peace talks between Iran and the US, this comes across as childish and irresponsible. If you cannot keep your emotions in check, you should not be holding such an important office.
@Ahsantwiter941 @ShujaaAzmi Calm down with the attitude. I never denied proof is important, but acting like every case is clear cut shows you don’t understand how these situations actually work. It's not that black and white, especially in cases like harassment or rappe.
@Ahsantwiter941 @ShujaaAzmi Wow that’s some serious naivety. The ayah you quoted doesn’t even apply here, so maybe sit down and stop quoting the Quran out of context.
@zeeshanism_ @TheOrionMish Women are human beings with emotions, limits and physical needs of their own. Marriage doesn’t cancel the need for consent. A respectful husband understands that intimacy should come from mutual willingness not pressure or obligation. Care and dignity should always come first.
@NidaKirmani People ask women for proof of harassment as if we walk around with body cams. Most harassment happens in moments designed to leave no evidence.
Western media has gone blind, deaf & mute on two big stories:
1)A respected Palestinian doctor gang raped to death by Israeli soldiers who went free &were treated as heroes
2)18-month- old baby tortured with cigarette burns & nail being shoved into his leg by Israeli soldiers.
@AbuBaka72670696@iamthedrifter@niazbeen93 The smartest move for Pakistan is restraint, diplomacy and avoiding being pulled into a conflict that serves no one in the region.
@NidaKirmani Pakistan claims it did not target the rehab centre, saying it caught fire due to secondary explosions from a nearby ammunition depot. Regardless, any civilian loss is tragic and condemnable.
@iamthedrifter@AbuBaka72670696@niazbeen93 That would be a blunder of epic proportions. When Pakistan signed the mutual defence agreement with Saudi Arabia, few expected it would pull them into a conflict with neighbor Iran rather than focus on Israel.
@AbdullahAlerts@I_nyctophile TTP and Afghan Taliban are different groups. Most attacks in Pakistan are carried out by TTP. However, the Afghan Taliban’s failure or unwillingness to act against TTP still creates a security problem for Pakistan.
@blessedlonelyjo@ShaykhAzhar There are many things God can't do. God can't be unjust, unforgiving, mortal, liar or anything that goes against his nature.
