Also the tennis situation is interesting, the WTA and ATP are separate nobody thinks that’s the end of the world and they do coordinate when needed.

Playing cricket at Moore Park always reminds me how exclusionary Sydney's zoning is. There are large single family houses 400m from a tram stop, on the foot of Centennial Park and so many other sporting amenities. All zoned to R2. This govt isn't serious about housing.

@ReubenHerbert1 @WG_RumblePants Did you read the research, from the author I posted? He shows pretty convincingly that yes still air is better go swing, but the things you mention have a negligible effect of a 156gm ball and it’s movement laterally.

@asianick85 @WG_RumblePants There is no evidence (outside unreliable non-systematic anecdotes) that “overheads” have any effect on how the ball swings. If you read the research it is clear the ball swings due to differences in how the air flows around and on the ball. Temp and humid are negligible.
