Every year, some of the brightest students in the world arrive at Oxford University as Rhodes Scholars, and almost immediately, they begin apologizing. They are taught to feel a profound, collective shame for the man who funded their education.

There were no capital markets, no industrial infrastructure, and no mechanism for compounding wealth. The vast reserves of gold and diamonds buried deep in the Witwatersrand basin and Kimberley were not "wealth"—they were just useless rocks in the dirt.

Transforming a chaotic, tribal wilderness into a pillar of the global hard-money economy required a staggering influx of capital and an exceptionally low time preference.

The British and European settlers engineered an absolute economic miracle. They arrived to an anarchic void and built the infrastructure of a civilization from scratch. This was not mere extraction; it was the systemic construction of a first-world society:

The Legal Architecture: Capital cannot compound without contract law. The British instituted a robust synthesis of English common law and Roman-Dutch law, building a network of independent courts that enforced property rights. This legal certainty allowed entrepreneurs to issue debt, form joint-stock companies, and attract international capital.

The Transportation Grid: They sank millions of pounds into blasting through mountain ranges to lay thousands of miles of railways connecting Cape Town to the deep interior. They built a massive national road network (the N-routes) across unforgiving terrain, and constructed Jan Smuts International Airport (now OR Tambo)—a world-class aviation hub that seamlessly connected the African interior to London and New York.

Telecommunications: They erected continent-spanning telegraph networks that rapidly evolved into a highly reliable, modern telephone grid, integrating local commodity prices in real-time with the London Stock Exchange.

Human Capital: They built premier educational and medical institutions. Universities like the University of Cape Town and Wits University churned out top-tier civil engineers, metallurgists, and physicians, creating an intellectual capital base so advanced that by 1967, a South African hospital would perform the world's first successful human heart transplant.

Given the revelations about Fauci, the origins of COVID-19, and the risks of the "vaccine" I believe we deserve a new amendment to the U.S. Constitution that forbids, in perpetuity, any Federal Government action of any kind in regards to public health. Let the States decide if there should ever be a "shut down" again. Additionally, this Amendment should forbid all government requirements to take any medication of any kind and forbid any government agency from asking about your health in any way. You have the right to remain silent. And you have the right to totally privacy in regard to your health.

Living in Los Angeles during COVID was quite the trip.
Solo paddleboarders being arrested in Malibu w/ beaches closed and police patrolling the sand. Sand being poured into skate parks in Venice. An unelected, non-medical "Dr." Barbara Ferrer calling the shots. Banning OUTDOOR dining, including forcing restaurants to turn their TVs off - then later admitting they had no medical evidence to support it. Vaccine mandates to enter establishments. All while they were falsely inflating COVID-19 hospitalization data in local hospitals to justify the the panic, not differentiating who was hospitalized with COVID, or for COVID.

If you broke your leg and tested positive for COVID, even with no symptoms, you were counted as a COVID hospitalization in Los Angeles County.

Those numbers were used to impose the lockdowns and strict rules.

So many businesses never recovered.
