@AriWasserman think about it this way. what sports are you familiar with where a 0-0 draw isn't a rarity? the last time it happened in the NFL was 80+ yrs ago, slightly more common in the NHL but still rare. in soccer, it happens around 8% of the time.

@JeromeyR0me i get your desire for transparency. I also get that stopping/starting the clock like NHL, NFL, etc would make many feel like the game is lost. One compromise might simply show a running tally for stoppages so we see how the 4th official is arriving at the extra mins.

@NathanPStrauss they take hydration breaks in other leagues all the time, especially saudi, and most of those don't go to commercial. it's entirely a network decision to take advantage of.
