QatarEnergy Statement on Missile Attacks on its LNG Facilities

In addition to the previous attack on Ras Laffan Industrial City on Wednesday 18 March 2026 that resulted in extensive damage to the Pearl GTL (Gas-to-Liquids) facility, QatarEnergy confirms that in the early hours of Thursday 19 March 2026, several of its Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities were the subject of missile attacks, causing sizeable fires and extensive further damage.
Emergency response teams were deployed immediately to contain the resulting damage with no reported casualties.
QatarEnergy will continue to communicate the latest available information.

Gaad Batte is a winter ritual observed by Kashmiri Pandits, a sacred feast dedicated to the Ghar Devta (household deity) as snow envelops the valley.

It is believed that during the dark, gloomy winter days, malevolent forces become active, and the blessings of the Ghar Devta help protect the home and its inhabitants from these evil spirits.

Before the ritual, the kitchen is thoroughly cleaned, and “Duhmund,” or fresh, untouched water, is used.
A traditional meal of fish and rice is then prepared and offered to the deity.
A formal prayer ceremony follows, involving the invocation (Avahan) of the deity and the Shodashopchar - sixteen sacred offerings such as water, clothes, flowers, and incense.

The offerings, including the prepared meal, are placed in a designated, undisturbed corner of the house for the deity’s acceptance.
