Today, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our dear friend, Gilbert "Butch" Wallace.
To my family, he was simply "Uncle Butch." He was more than a friend to the Wilson family—he was family.
Through his steadfast faith, kindness, and servant's heart, he touched countless lives, and everyone who knew him was better for having known him.
Jennifer and I are praying for Carolyn, Heather, Michelle, Tyler, and all who loved him. While we grieve, we do not grieve without hope.
We take comfort in God's promise of eternal life and in the assurance that we will see him again.
South Carolina is better because Uncle Butch called it home, and all of us who were blessed to know him are better because God placed him in our lives.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:21
South Carolina families sent a clear message: they want a Governor who will fight for their families, lower costs, keep communities safe, and put taxpayers first.
Conservatives said this office must be earned, not arranged. To those who supported Congressman @RepRalphNorman, @RomReddySC, Congresswoman @NancyMace, and State Senator @JoshKimbrellSC: Wilson-Reichenbach is your team. I will fight for you, your family, and the conservative values we share.
Together, we can lower costs, keep our communities safe, put taxpayers first, and bring a new era of conservative leadership to South Carolina. The work is not finished. On to June 23!
Polls are officially closed in South Carolina — but if you’re still in line, STAY IN LINE! Your vote counts!
No matter what happens tonight, I will never stop fighting for the best state in the country!
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORT!
"Lord, we thank You for this great state and ask for Your continued guidance, protection, and blessings over South Carolina and all her people. God bless the Palmetto State!"

Over 50 weeks ago, we launched this campaign in Lexington County.
Today we wrapped our seven-day bus tour, meeting thousands of voters across South Carolina, and returned home to a packed house of supporters.
I’m truly humbled and would be honored to have your vote tomorrow on Primary Day.
Still can’t believe how many people showed up to support our campaign last night in Cayce—600! Feeling incredibly grateful this morning. Let’s go win this thing!
A major win for South Carolina’s Upstate!
Mosdorfer, a global manufacturer of high-voltage transmission line hardware, is investing $44.5 million in a new Oconee County facility that will create 107 jobs.
This is the kind of investment that strengthens grid reliability, supports future energy growth, and keeps South Carolina leading. #CleanIsRight

No one’s fought harder or risked more for President Trump and his agenda than I have. I look forward to continuing to deliver real results for South Carolina families as their next Governor. And congratulations to Pam Evette for picking Henry McMaster Jr. to be her running mate.
Jack, this is fake news. I hope you will correct the record:
Advisers close to the White House — which has pressed Republicans across the country to pass new maps over the past year to shore up the party’s narrow House majority — said they were caught off guard by the failed vote in the South Carolina Senate, with one calling it a “betrayal.”
“We knew it was bumpy all along, never a guarantee,” one adviser told NBC News. “But the votes were there on the last vote, and nothing changed.”
The adviser also said that the White House was not given a heads-up about the vote from South Carolina Republican Gov. Henry McMaster, which they would have expected if votes were changing. The person said they were alerted by Attorney General Alan Wilson and “a couple” of state senators. https://t.co/vWNk3TExzS
We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.
CCE-SC kicked off our Grid Modernization Roundtable this morning as part of the 2026 Clean Energy Conversations!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for an important discussion on strengthening South Carolina’s electric grid, improving reliability, and preparing our state for future energy growth. #CleanIsRight
Unfortunately, we’ve entered the dirty season of the political campaign. Some are now trying to attack my military record. They’re accusing me and the soldiers I served with of lying, exaggerating and making false statements. In doing so, they’re not just coming after me, they’re disrespecting the men I served with in Iraq.
I can’t believe we’re having this conversation, but I have nothing to hide. About 98% of what we did overseas was routine. Convoys. Long days. Doing the job and looking out for each other. It wasn’t glamorous. It was our duty. But not every day was routine.
August 20, 2004 started out like any other. It was a convoy to return to our home base from the Turkish border.
And then, we were hit by an IED attack.
I remember the blast moving through the vehicle, through our bodies. It was a surreal feeling. Everything slows down, and your training takes over.
At that moment, what matters isn’t politics or headlines. It’s the people beside you.
The men I served with have told that story in their own words. I saw firsthand their heroism, courage and how they laid their lives on the line for their fellow soldiers. This is their story too and I am proud to tell it.
I was also honored and humbled to hear them say that they trusted me with their lives. I also trust them with mine.
By the grace of God, we got everybody home safely.
The IED was quite literally inches away from directly hitting one of the men. The shrapnel was inches away from tearing through others.
The men that were in the tractor trailer that caught on fire were pulled out moments before it exploded by soldiers who risked their lives.
I kept a journal for every day I was over there during that one year deployment. In my journal entry that day I wrote my life was forever changed. It renewed and solidified my faith in God and made me appreciate every second we have here on this earth. I viewed that day as God saving all of us and showing me to make every day count. I’ve spent my life since then trying to do just that.
I didn’t choose to serve my country for a campaign ad. I didn’t serve to get a medal or an award. At that point in my life, I had no idea I even wanted to run for public office. I served because I love this country and believe in something bigger than myself. And I’m still serving as a colonel in the Army National Guard today.
So when some try to score cheap political points by attacking my service, they’re not just wrong, they’re diminishing the service of the men who were in that convoy with me.
I’m proud of my service, yes, but more so I’m proud of the men who were there with me. If you try to attack them, you’re going to have to go through me first and I won’t stand for it.
