My life sucked 4 years ago. 4 years ago: ◦broke ◦depressed ◦pot head ◦college student Now: ◦6 figure biz ◦happy ◦healthy ◦self-employed Here’s my story so you can replicate my success: In the last 4 years, I went from a broke college student to a 6-figure biz owner. Here's the back story: Since 17 years old I've experimented with just about every online business under the sun. I had shiny object syndrome, partly cause I love jumping around and not doing the same thing every day. The Beginning - My entrepreneurial journey started in 2016 with selling phone cases on eBay Hygiene Hand - I had a successful dropshipping store in 2017 that got shut down because Facebook changed its ad policy. Glow Mobile - I ran a semi-successful E-commerce company for a year that fizzled out in 2018. Dallas Power Wash - After that I decided to start staining fences in 2019 to pay for college. It quickly turned into a real business & I dropped out before getting my bachelor's. It’s now a 6-figure exterior cleaning company in Dallas, TX. Creator - In 2023 I decided to start writing on X about topics I was passionate about. After 2018 I felt hopeless — everything failed despite my best efforts. I needed money bad for college & to survive but I didn’t want to go back to a regular job. I heard one of my friend's brothers was staining fences & making decent money. So I thought if he can do it so can I. So I made a plan… With an investment of just under $1000 (my entire bank account) I had everything I needed: ◦a pack of business cards ◦a pressure washer ◦an airless sprayer Now I had all I needed but how was I gonna get customers? A bit of regret started seeping in… I gave door-to-door a shot… nothing. It didn’t feel great but I already bought the equipment there was no going back. My next move was the Nextdoor app. Made a few posts on there and it worked! I landed my first few jobs. That’s when I realized something crazy. We were already more successful than 65% of companies — lol we were profitable. That made me want to push even harder. I heard about cold calling so I gave it a shot I called: ◦Brick & mortar businesses ◦Homeowner associations ◦Real estate agents ◦Fence company’s ◦Home builders ◦Roofers To my surprise, it was the roofers that worked. I had one tell me he would start sending me all his stain work & he did. That was the game changer — My first partnership. Called more roofers & locked in partnerships with a few companies They each send us a few jobs a week, No need for paid marketing. At this point my cousin & I are doing everything ourselves, working long hours so we decided we were ready for hiring. I began looking for people to do the jobs. That was the key to getting my time back. Hired a guy to pressure wash & then a guy to stain. Shortly after we just had to focus on: ◦Answering phone calls ◦Making partnerships ◦Sending invoices ◦Scheduling jobs ◦Quality control Once we started building solid systems we were able to start expanding our company. This year we've rebranded ourselves as an exterior cleaning company and are currently focusing on making commercial cleaning partnerships. I'm now in the process of getting it to a point where I can slowly back away and focus on things I'm more passionate about like building a creator business. Now you know my backstory — here's what I'm currently working on. I've watched the creator economy from the sidelines closely for the last 4 years & have just recently got involved in the last 6 months by creating on X. I’ve branded myself as a “Holistic Polymath” because I really enjoy learning how industries & studies are connected. I love learning & challenging myself. I am a creative problem solver, that’s been studying the game of business, social media, and peak performance for the last 4 years. I truly understand marketing which is great but what really sets me apart is my holistic approach. I consider myself a polymath with extensive knowledge in: ◦Mental Mastery ◦Future Tech ◦Psychology ◦Philosophy ◦Branding This is my edge. I'll be using these skills to build a sick-ass brand over the next 6 months. It'll be half creative agency & half community. It'll be a hub for creativeprenurs. It'll be called Club Genesis.
