Nearly a third of people still believe that there is no point in trying to get an NHS dentist. There is also an increasing view that NHS dentistry is becoming too expensive - part of the cost of living crisis.
This is all in line with what we've been hearing on the streets.

🦷We've taken the time and gone through the GP Patient Survey Data released earlier this month and, to be perfectly honest, things haven't changed a jot.

There has been a slight change in those who cannot access an NHS dentist - 36% in 2024 vs 33% in 2025. But because this falls well within the error margin for the confidence interval, it's unlikely that this represents anything but stagnation.
