Dear career woman, please, when it is time to make a lifetime commitment, do not marry down.
If you want to enjoy both your career and your marriage, be careful about marrying a man you are significantly ahead of academically and financially.
As time goes on your career will grow. Your income will grow. Your exposure and responsibilities will grow. If your husband is unable to grow with you, that gap will eventually become a source of conflict in the marriage.
Do not make the mistake of thinking love alone will close that gap. You may live to regret it.
Choose a man whose ambition, capacity and mindset is greater than yours so you can always look up to him.
If you so desire to be an exception, then good luck to you.
