@RichardALJones I’ve always thought the Welsh name for the holiday to be ‘nicer’. For children, it gave a lot more creativity and colour with any drawings.
@AlexHeffron20 @JonathanTapp There's a town planning policy dimension here as well, in that high-grade agricultural land can't be readily used in development plans. There's been many a suspicious downgrade in agricultural quality rating, without evidence, to push through housing developments etc
It’s been said that the next UK political scandal is probably already happening in plain sight. And it is. It’s been happening all this week at the assisted suicide bill committee. A thread:

@DrAmirKhanGP@SafeAirSchoolUK@lorraine@GMB This is good!
Let’s not forget getting more activities outdoors as well:
5-a-side on astroturf, walk with a friend with a takeaway coffee etc.
@doctimcook@jim_reed Imagine: “We introduced more sanitisers and insisted on more regular hand-washing, yet we still had nosocomial infections. We, therefore, removed this control. Alcohol gel/soap works great against viruses in the lab, but we don’t see that in clinical settings.”
@DRTomlinsonEP@karamballes@trishgreenhalgh @ProfEmer @SafeDavid3 @KGadhok @gallagher_rose @tracyniks@YouAreLobbyLud@DavidShukman@CNagpaul September 2020, hospitality received direction to impose decibel limits due to "Loud music was identified as a feature that may encourage shouting, and through that increased risk of transmission of the virus." This is a risk that comes with aerosol transmission.
