@linzer_art Not in person, no. But I've left google reviews before and so do many other people. Criticism (when done properly) shows you care, that you want to support the growth of their artistry. Again, you do not have to accept it, but it's potentially damaging to the future of one's art
@linzer_art You do not have to be qualified to have a criticism of something - "internet randos" leave google reviews all the time. I think you misunderstand what I mean by criticism: I don't mean mocking or denigrating, I mean making suggestions that could benefit the artist's vision
@linzer_art Yet you do once you've tasted their food; food critics are perhaps the most prominent types of critics out there. That said, you don't have to - conversely, others don't have to maintain their silence on it. So long as it's constructive it can lead to some truly great things
@linzer_art Criticism is not something to be feared, the way you speak about it makes it sound like a grave transgression when really it's one of the pillars of art. If it bothers you, you are within your rights to ignore it, as I'm not necessarily suggesting you have to have to listen
@linzer_art I personally think this is a very damaging mindset, doing that effectively blockades critical discussion which is a very core component of art as both a profession and a medium
