#COASTStudy: We are developing a core outcome set for cranioplasty following stroke or traumatic brain injury to help standardise outcomes: please help us by completing our survey and share with your networks and colleagues: https://t.co/ZVNwJt4VGI
Thank you to the patients, families, research nurses and investigators for delivering the RESCUE-ASDH trial, the AANS for allowing us to present as a late breaking abstract and the NEJM for fast track co-ordinated publication.
@AdelHelmy79@hani_marcus@pja_hutch I still think benefit of cranioplasty outweighs risk in majority of cases, but MDT discussion on a case by case basis important, timing critical, and longer term outcomes needed to help us better understand longer term impact

Discussion at COMET VII regarding importance of patient and public involvement in development of COS for clinical trials. Great resources at https://t.co/EJHNJzEqWY
@BillersJ I agree, fascinating.I am a rehabilitation registrar researching this - huge impact on the rehab of these patients, as well as service provision and ideal rehab environment - also starting some qualitative research around same subject, what timeframe is used in Belgium?
Interesting paper: Qualitative research addressed wide range of aspects of trials focusing on intervention being trialled (71%); the design, process and conduct of trials (15%);outcomes of trials (1%);measures used in the trial (3%); and target condition for the trial (9%)
