Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday, June 6, claimed that the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) was formed drawing inspiration from Adolf Hitler, saying the German dictator's favourite word was 'Hydra.'
Speaking at 'The Hindu's Huddle: India in Dialogue' event in Bengaluru, Revanth Reddy said he named the task force after the word and built it to act decisively against encroachments. The claim, however, found no historical backing, leaving many puzzled.
The CM said a senior IPS officer heads HYDRAA, which is backed by 3,000 retired Army personnel. He defended the agency's demolition drive, comparing its scale to conflicts between Iran and Israel, a remark that also drew criticism. HYDRAA has previously faced judicial scrutiny from the Telangana High Court over allegations of selective demolitions.
Reporter : You have 22 million followers on Instagram, but there are barely 150 people at this protest. What happened?
Cockroaches Spokesperson : This is BJP’s conspiracy. They denied visas to our most loyal bot followers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Tunisia, and Turkey. Otherwise, Jantar Mantar would have been overflowing. Democracy is in danger. Modi and Dharmendra Pradhan must resign immediately. Btw, go away Godi media
Deeply saddened to see lack of civic sense in our country.
People damaging police barricades, damaging public and private properties in the name of celebration is just another example of our lives without dignity.
Now issue is not restricted to one team, one state or one area.
It is a major problem now.
Qatar on Eid:
Do not perform the namaz in open outdoor areas; pray inside Mosques. Limit women's attendance as much as possible, as Eid prayer is not obligatory.
Al Jazeera (owned by Qatar):
India is restricting public prayers and telling Muslims to pray in Mosques.
When an Islamic country does it, it becomes a guideline. But when a non-Islamic country does the same thing, it is labeled Islamophobia.
Amidst a growing water crisis across Telangana… the Govt is preparing to pump nearly 2.5 TMC of Godavari water — 70.8 BILLION litres — into the Musi as part of the so-called “beautification” project.
That’s enough water to support nearly 3.59 lakh homes for an entire year, based on the urban planning benchmark of 135 litres per person per day for a family of four.
But here’s the real question…
What happens when this precious freshwater is pushed into a river system where untreated sewage continues to enter through storm water drains, nalas, lakes and feeder streams?
The result: Fresh Godavari water gets contaminated the moment it enters the system.
This is not rejuvenation. This is dilution of sewage using taxpayer money.
Unless sewage inflows are stopped FIRST… no amount of pumping water into the Musi will revive the river. It risks becoming another failed Riverfront Development experiment — just like Pune.
Who will be held accountable for wasting: • Precious freshwater • Thousands of crores of public money • And the last chance to truly restore Hyderabad’s rivers and lakes?
