“Nobody is coming to save you” but your day literally gets better after you consume art made by other people. You hang w friends & you’re no longer suicidal, even if just for a few minutes. They’re lying to you about the significance of community. People are saving you EVERYDAY!
How to explain that CPTSD isn’t “bad stuff happened to me and I need to talk through it” but “so much bad stuff happened to me for so long that I have a rewired nervous system and don’t know how to relate to this world where my life isn’t actually in peril every single moment?”
a diarrhea plague and a killer heat wave while we’re doing a Middle East war, the emperor’s army is killing people in the streets, and everyone outside the palace is facing an affordability famine — we’re in the middle of one of those apocalyptic Biblical prophecies
landback includes hawai’i by the way. nobody wants to bring it up with other indigenous struggles because you all want to vacation on indigenous lands violently stolen by the united states that just happen to be tropical islands
The worst part about this outbreak is that, bc every news agency is owned by corporate billionaires, not a SINGLE ONE has the courage to link this outbreak to Trump and his dismantling of our food safety protections. So the general public just assumes this is business as usual.
They want you to believe your voice doesn't matter.
Yet in just the last few days:
-LAPD canceled its Flock contract.
-Meta cancelled Muse Image AI after privacy outrage.
-One of the largest planned U.S. data centers was killed (PW Digital Gateway) by local opposition.
The surveillance state isn't inevitable.
It advances when people are apathetic.
It retreats when people fight back.
Public pressure works. Keep pushing.
Autism is genuinely not knowing what you did wrong and being told “you know what you did” by someone who has no idea that you actually, literally do not know what you did
The late diagnosed autistic experience of realizing you never had actual friends, they were all just acquaintances, so nobody stood up for you -not because your hardships weren't legit; it's that you just weren't that important in anyone's life, and you have wasted your best years on people who merely tolerated you.
It's interesting how there was a big push for police to have body cams so they started being required. And now almost every single time something bad happens, they're never on, weren't charged, or just happened to die at the scene of whatever bad thing right before bad thing.
It’s fascinating to see autistic individuals elevate some traits of autism, like a “strong sense of justice” or “hyperempathy,” despite the lack of substantial empirical evidence supporting these claims, while traits like irritability and aggression, which are well-documented in the literature, are often dismissed.
Instead, these traits are described as “signs of autistic distress,” as if distress is somehow separate from the autistic experience, even when accommodations are made.
my red flag is that if you don't talk to me, I won't talk to you either. But not because I don't want to talk to you, but because I think if you don't want to talk to me, I should give you space so I don't bother you
Is that girl with mostly male friends really a "pick me" or is she just autistic and finds it easier to socialise with the opposite gender because social expectations are less rigid
As someone who always used to be excited for new tech, I am not interested anymore. Everything has gotten so greedy, addictive, expensive and exclusive. They don't solve problems, they create them, and then try to sell you the solution. We're in literal technology hell.
