@CrashiusClay69 I think people are just excited by what they are seeing from your posts and explanations of your narratives. I am. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
@adhdcoachIB Anything can be broken down into smaller pieces. Those can be mastered one small piece at a time. Build a process that you refer back to and revise as you learn. Build the confidence needed to neither fake it nor mask it.
Iteration is our friend.
I think the biggest ADHD hack is working on balance. It's like a ripple effect. Working on balance is a way of showing love to ourselves, in words and in action.
Grace? I'll need to consult with impulsivity about that. But I think balance would help with that monster, as well.
ADHD Baseline is a integrated approach to identifying and measuring one's ADHD symptoms. The question would be, "What is your normal?" If you created a checklist of your symptoms, you could evaluate them individually and assess where you are today.
Visualized together, that's your ADHD baseline.
There's another discussion about how we address those symptoms. I believe the answer begins with balance.
Disclosure: The phrase, ADHD Baseline, for me, came from listening to @hubermanlab talk about a dopamine baseline. It just made sense that we have an overall baseline, ADHD or otherwise.
It wasn't fair to your sister, but she was probably the most qualified in the room, which is unfortunate.
If you had the choice to be in a classroom specifically for children with ADHD, would you have preferred that option? Or perhaps a couple of classes with ADHD peers where there could be a focus on executive function skills?
@adhdjesse People may interpret your inattentiveness as disinterest or rudeness, even if that's not your intention. It sends a message, intended or not, that other people's time and feelings are not valuable to you.
So yeah, the birds? I agree, but be aware.
@LoriShemek It's not just what you eat, but also why. Acknowledging the act of incorporating protein is key for turning this choice into a habit. Recognize the struggle and take the win with your conscious choice.
@adhdjesse It's hard to break the cycle of chronic stress, especially when it's partially self-induced. But that also means we're partially aware that we're doing it. Now we can name it and start addressing it in small steps.
