@EmoryJohnMich8 @RepJoshG "Young American-Israeli to The Guardian." Quite the credible, corroborated, and reliable source from the very neutral publication The Guardian. Hamas, Hezbollah, and IRGC are pathetic, apartheid and, most of all evil. 850,000 Jews driven out of Arab states after independence.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@FranceskAlbs They aren't Israeli citizens, now are they? Why should they have voting rights in a country with no citizenship? They can vote in West Bank (Judea/Samaria) or Gaza, now can't they? Um, wait a minute...can they vote there? Special Rapporteur mon derrière.

@Slogs1231 I watched this series when it was originally aired and I was in graduate school (I am a scientist), and then over and over again in subsequent years. I can recite most lines of most episodes; I watch STNG when cooking. If I had to pick my favourite epsode, this would be it.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@BlkHistStudies Holy Moly.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@Sean_Heuston_16 I do believe that 70 is the new 27, despite what my joints are telling me.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

You have a point, particularly with France. Been to Haiti? My guess is no. Was there just after the 2010 earthquake. Nunneries and monasteries doing good work in medicine, agriculture, and schools were buried. Much dead and destroyed, but many miraculous rescues. Not comparing the 2 nations is dumber still.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

See Mansa Musa of the Mali Empire. In 1324 he made the Hadj with a caravan of 10,000's of people with camels loaded with gold. In Cairo, he distributed so much gold that it disrupted the local economy for years. Likely the wealthiest ruler in history because of Mali's gold resources. His empire was not in modern-day Mali btw.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@historical_Afr Yes indeed, but please don't ignorance be the only chapter you know regarding slavery in Africa, which existed well before it was colonized by Europe and Arabs. Can you use AI to illustrate Africans enslaving Africans before colonization by Europe and Arabs? Just curious.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@Hallowed_Grnd @historical_Afr Um, there were several African empires over the centuries. To which do you refer? Also, my good sir, it is a continent, not a country. There are about 54 countries on the modern continent. Finally, your rant is a bit incoherent. Off your meds, perhaps? Cheers.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@PeterVogel Even when I was in high school and even an undergraduate, we weren't allowed to use any of these. Had to strictly be slide rules. Who worked with one of those? Our numbers are diminishing, but not yet at a log scale.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@Doctor_Hue @AfricanHub_ Perhaps "rewrites" would be a better verb given Burkina's current bloody, dictatorial leadership and its civilian massacres. Wagoner group, anyone? Oops I meant Africa Corps. https://t.co/gKEuE6p4Ab

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@Its_ereko Indeed. Pre-colonial African societies did warfare, slavery, human sacrifice, rape, and other violence similar to other pre-modern world regions. Remember the Zulu kingdom under Shaka, Kingdom of Dahomey, Ashanti atrocities, or E. Africa slave trade? History does. I could go on.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@DrAnnLopez To which colonization do you refer? Romans, of Europe? African cultures of other African cultures (e.g. Zulus)? Incas, of other South American ones (land of four parts)? Or perhaps Native Americans (e.g. Comanche or Apaches)? All took away so much more than land and resources.

@OnePunchFade @oumarou_rahim Great observation. The Wodaabe (also Bororo or Mbororo, are a Fulani/Peul subgroup). Many contend they migrated from East Africa to West. Amhara is, sadly, under assault by the Ethiopian government. And yet Abiy Ahmed won the Peace Prize. Ethiopia is on fire, again, sadly.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@oumarou_rahim You might explore National Geographic's 10/1983 article, “Niger’s Wodaabe: People of the Taboo,” by Carol Beckwith & Marion van Offelen. I met her, along several Wodaabe, in Niger in the early 1980s.

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@RepRashida Project much?

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@Madximilian 🤣🤣🤣Another cringe-worthy advertisement that likely still won't surpass this older one from Kamala campaign. Save democracy from the DSA🤣? Perhaps this is satire/sarcasm and I missed it? https://t.co/3r1cDeLREY

[wpayne58 @HyperLoopins]

@historical_Afr Indeed they don't. But mixed girls can be beautiful too. As Ray Stevens sang in the 1970's (yes I am that old), "Everybody's beautiful in their own way".
