Are you living more in the ‘movie life’ (a life that you hope looks good from the outside looking in, performative, caring more about what others think of you), or in your real life (a life that feels good from the inside out, authentic, in your power, heart-led)?
@LibertyEv1776 @MerryInTrad @TheBrometheus Having kids is special. I share the joy of my friends who have kids. But people on both sides are so quick to judge, and that lack of empathy is another symptom of societal decline. Life is hard for everyone, it’s not a competition for who works the hardest or suffers the most.
@JoseCanseco Alcoholics have a whole list of reasons why they drink. You’re probably on it if they called you controlling. Someone can get all the help in the world and if they’re deep into paranoia and blame, they’ll still see themselves as a victim and everyone else as the bad guy.
@JoseCanseco You don’t want to be responsible for helping someone quit because they’ll turn around and blame you when they start again. Can’t make people change.
@KarelvHeerden@obscuree_ We’re all responsible for what we put out into the world, but people-pleasing is actually selfish and doesn’t work. Interdependence is different from codependence.
