Does a human remotely take over if the Aurora Driver sees something unusual? Short answer: No. But a human is in the loop. Our command center acts like a dispatch station for our fleet. If the Aurora Driver encounters something unfamiliar, it can request support or roadside assistance.

In the video below, the Aurora Driver detects a police motorcyclist directing traffic and connects with a remote assistance specialist.
