We think of this evil as Marxism. In reality, Marxism is nothing more or less than the current instantiation of a much more ancient evil: possession by the envious and hateful spirit that drove Cain to murder his brother Abel.
The great book of Genesis thus portrays mankind as riven by an eternal fratricidal conflict.
Those who reject genuine sacrifice become embittered by their subsequent failure ("rejection by God").
Instead of repenting and changing, they turn to revenge.
And who do they target? Those who strive to do well and offer what is best.
I can't believe how much wisdom the author of Genesis 4 compressed into that story's few sentences. You might even come to believe that God Himself had a hand in it.
Truly: it's uncanny. The first two human beings born into history are, respectively, a good, honest productive man and his brother, who allows himself to be consumed by resentment and the desire to destroy.
Communism, in a nutshell.
One of the most misunderstood facts is that the US was founded with abundance, whereas it was in fact built from scratch.
At the time of founding, Britain was the greatest nation governing the Seven Seas, while China was at its height with total land dominance in the East under the Qianlong Emperor.
The usable land of the US at founding was much smaller than that of either nation. The 13 colonies spanned 430K square miles, while Britain governed 2.5M square miles and China owned 5M square miles of territory.
The trade and economic volume of the 13 colonies was minuscule, consisting mostly of raw materials that barely registered on the charts. Combined, the 13 colonies produced $4B GDP, while Britain made $350B and China $2.5T in today’s dollars.
In other words, the 13 colonies were less than 0.2% of the world economy and much smaller than that of many African nations today.
The wealth of the US was not inherited but earned through survival and competition against stronger nations. Most people who came here brought nothing but empty hands yet built an empire from the ground.
This is something that people who inherit great resources from parents and ancestors cannot understand—like most nations in Europe and Asia, where wealth was dominated by inheritance, not earned. They mistakenly believe what we have now is a privilege. The trees we enjoy today were planted and nourished with sweat and blood by previous generations so that we could cut the wood for warmth.

To the Americans:
I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.
And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:
You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.
This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.
Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.
This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.
But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.
This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.
And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:
Thank God for the United States.
Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.
Long may your admirable country dominate the world.
Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.

A young SpaceX employee asked Elon what happens if they fail to reach Mars in his lifetime. The room was full of engineers and the question landed heavier than anyone expected.
It was a simple question but it cut to the core of everything SpaceX exists for. The entire company, every late night, every exploded prototype, every engineer who missed their kid's birthday for a launch window, it all points at Mars. What if it doesn't happen in time?
Elon paused.
He said that the goal was never for him personally to walk on Mars. The goal was to build the infrastructure that makes it inevitable. That even if he dies before the first crew lands, the system he built would carry the mission forward without him.
He said the rockets, the factories, the team, the culture, all of it is designed to outlast any single person. Including him. Especially him.
Then he said something that reportedly moved people in the room.
He said that if he thought success depended on him being alive, he would have already failed. The whole point is building something that doesn't need its founder to keep going.
He compared it to a cathedral. The architects of medieval cathedrals knew they would die before the building was finished. They designed it anyway. They poured their life into something they would never see completed because the completion wasn't the point. The commitment was.
SpaceX is his cathedral. He may never set foot on Mars. But the road between here and there will exist because he refused to accept that nobody was building it.
The most ambitious man alive has already made peace with the possibility that his greatest achievement might happen after he's gone. That's not failure. That's faith in something bigger than yourself.
Step 1: Invent a new extra-bad category of crime, like "hate crime" or "terrorism", with extra-harsh punishments.
Step 2: Expand the definition of the new kind of crime to include anything, or anyone, that you want to punish extra harshly.
⚡️Homeownership is splitting into two separate classes.
Legacy owners with low fixed-rate mortgages are sitting inside a protected castle. Their debt was locked before the reset. They own an asset with old-world financing attached to new-world prices.
New buyers are entering the same asset class under a totally different regime. Higher prices, higher rates, higher insurance, higher taxes, higher repairs, higher everything. Same word, different economic reality.
That is why the housing market feels broken. Two people can “own a home” and live in completely different financial universes depending on when they bought.
This also explains the inventory freeze. A 3% mortgage is now an asset. Selling means surrendering the old rate and stepping into the new cost stack. So people stay locked in place. Mobility dies. Supply tightens. Young families get squeezed. First-time buyers face a market where incumbents are protected and entrants are punished.
The political consequence is enormous. Housing is the core American legitimacy asset. If normal working families cannot buy and carry a home, the entire middle-class story starts to rot. Marriage, fertility, local stability, savings, household formation, and belief in upward mobility all weaken.
This chart is not a housing-cost chart. It is a social contract chart.
The system told people to become owners. Then it let the ownership layer become unaffordable, overleveraged, overtaxed, overinsured, and overexposed to every broken input market in the country.
The American home is becoming less like a simple wealth-building asset and more like a subscription to the entire inflation regime.
Debt inflation.
Tax inflation.
Insurance inflation.
Repair inflation.
Labor inflation.
Materials inflation.
Local-government inflation.
A house used to be the anchor of middle-class security.
Now, for new buyers, it increasingly looks like the most expensive liability they are allowed to call an asset.

People don’t watch TV. They watch teenagers explain geopolitics, finance, and relationship advice in ~60 second videos.
The biggest taxi company owns no taxis.
The biggest hotel company owns no hotels.
The most powerful media companies are social networks where everyone argues with strangers for free.
Kids are making millions filming themselves playing video games.
AI Robots write emails, code, legal memos, songs, essays, and breakup texts.
The internet is mostly bots arguing with humans who are trying to prove they aren’t bots.
You can summon a car, groceries, a doctor, a date, a private jet, or a dog walker from your phone.
People pay real money for invisible currencies, digital monkeys, AI girlfriends and pictures that disappear after 24 hours.
The richest companies in the world don’t sell oil, steel, or cars. They sell attention, compute, data, and addiction.
And somehow, after all of that everyone is still using Excel.

We exist and work so leftists can rule over us.
Our labor and taxes get extracted to build and sustain political clients who deliver power to the left at home and extend its reach abroad.
Democrats expanded welfare after the War on Poverty to turn black Americans into a captured voting bloc.
The new programs discouraged marriage and work. The rate of out-of-wedlock births rose from 24% in 1965 to above 70%.
Black support for Democrats locked in at 90% or higher and has stayed there.
The identical approach runs with illegal immigrants now.
Policies drive large inflows. Taxpayer money then covers housing, healthcare, food, and schooling in Democrat areas. Fiscal estimates place the net annual cost near 150 billion dollars.
Census counting of non-citizens shifts House seats and electoral votes toward the party that sustains the inflows.
Abroad, the same funds support left leaning movements and governments through foreign aid and grants. Billions flow to organizations and projects that advance the broader agenda.
Domestic clients and foreign allies draw from one source, taxes taken from working Americans.
The record shows the pattern without interruption.
Welfare after 1964 produced long-term dependents whose votes reward the party delivering benefits.
Current immigration policies expand the dependent pool and alter political arithmetic.
Foreign spending projects the model outward.
Productive labor funds all of it so the left maintains control.
The numbers on family structure, fiscal transfers, voting loyalty, and power allocation line up exactly.
So work harder and pay your taxes, peasant.
The Midjourney scanner is revolutionary. There’s a bullish case that exceeds the most optimistic takes.
I was at the unveiling and used the scanner myself. I personally want to experiment with a weekly whole body Midjourney scan to add to my 1.5 billion data points and let my AI and doctors start connecting the dots.
Most of the early commentary has focused on the wrong questions: “is it as good as MRI?” and “what about false positives?” These are legitimate concerns, but they miss the bigger shift.
The more important question is: what does fast, low cost, safe whole body imaging unlock?
Let’s start with measurement.
A speedometer tells you how fast you are going. A fuel/battery gauge tells you when to stop. A thermostat tells you what to wear. The stock price tells you how much money you’ve made or lost. We measure what we care about.
Except, oddly, for our bodies, which are among the least measured things in our lives. Most people have more data on their favorite sports team, bank account, and social media performance than their body. The future will think we were crazy for this.
The first law of medicine is to do no harm. Our current system has harm baked into it.
+ an undiagnosed condition progressing silently is harm
+ a doctor who can’t easily get a patient screened preventively is harm
+ having no baseline to compare against when something shows up is harm
Our preventive net is narrow and inconsistent. Late stage diagnoses that could have been caught earlier remain common. Midjourney’s technology won’t eliminate that overnight, but it points toward a future where routine wholebody baselines become normal rather than exceptional.
Midjourney can help flip harm-by-default into a new expectation for our health infrastructure: almost no one will ever again be blindsided by a late-stage, life-threatening diagnosis that could have been caught earlier reasonably and cost-effectively.
Some examples of what earlier structural visibility enables:
+ breast cancer caught while localized has a ~99% five year survival rate. Once it has spread distantly, that drops to around 32%.
+ an abdominal aortic aneurysm kills more than 8 in 10 people when it ruptures. A single ultrasound finds the aorta in 99 percent of people, and screening cuts aneurysm deaths by a third to a half.
Midjourney’s technology will not do it all on its own. Its full angle, water immersion approach works around bone rather than seeing through it, and routes bowel gas to image the full abdominal cross section. Yet two real limits remain: air filled lungs stay a blind spot even here, and the brain is out of reach behind the skull, beyond the torso and legs this scanner covers.
That is fine, and they may improve these areas over time. Midjourney doesn’t need to do it all in order for it to be one of the biggest things to hit medicine in a long time.
Let’s look at where specifically Midjourney may be useful to each of us. We’ll start with where we get data today:
1) Blood draws tell us what is happening chemically.
2) Wearables tell us how the body is functioning.
3) Imaging tells us what is happening structurally.
The third layer, soft tissue, is the one we have never been able to access easily. MRI is great, but it is expensive, intimidating, and slow.
Midjourney's technology excels with soft tissue. Here are three places it could be game changing. There are many more.
1. Metabolic health - fatty liver is one of the earliest structural signs of metabolic dysfunction. It’s strongly linked to insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular risk. Being able to track visceral fat, muscle fat infiltration, and liver fat over time could give a much clearer picture than blood markers alone. Over 88% of Americans are metabolically unhealthy.
2. Endocrine tissue - the same metabolic patterns often cluster with thyroid issues, PCOS, and hypogonadism. Ultrasound can directly image the thyroid and ovarian structures. Fat tissue itself is an endocrine organ, so tracking it structurally adds another useful data layer.
3. Soft tissue + multiomics - new proteomic aging clocks can already predict risk for many chronic diseases from blood proteins. These molecular models could become significantly more powerful when combined with actual structural imaging data. The two are complementary, not competitive.
The real advantage: baseline + longitudinal tracking
The biggest unlock isn’t a single scan. It’s having a baseline followed by regular follow-ups. A one off scan in a moment of concern turns every finding into a potential crisis. Without context, you have no idea whether something is new, stable, or changing. With baseline + repeated measurement, the question changes from “what is this?” to “is this changing?” Most incidental findings stay stable. The dangerous ones tend to grow or evolve. Trajectory is often more informative than any single image or timepoint.This is why false positives become more manageable with frequent, low-friction imaging.
Midjourney has a difficult road ahead. Building robust, clinically validated medical hardware and software is extremely hard. Regulatory, technical, and adoption challenges shouldn’t be understated. Also, David is doing this for the right reasons and he’s well positioned financially to push through the difficulty.
On the horizon
We are moving quickly into a future where we will have continuous biological measurement. It will be all around us, a lot of it invisible and autonomous. Measurement will be in our gyms, beds, homes, clothing, offices, cars, glasses, and wearables. It will also be inside of us, in tissue and circulating in our blood vessels. This moves us from managing crises to preventing them. But this future will not just show up. We need bold builders like David and his team, willing to do the hard work.
