@EODBruz IW invented a new type of ammunition: XXtreme Subsonic Rounds™
25-30% of my gunfights were trades, makes no sense. I'd rather lose the gunfight than seeing the trade happen. At least then I can blame it on something silly.
They made it very very clear with this PC "ground-up" build by Beenox that their focus is exclusively on controller. AA is jacked up to some absurd strength, mouse responsiveness and control is horrendous, visibility is nonexistent. PC players are going to have a tough year on MW4.
It's easier to spot an ant 400M away in Wardogs than it is to see the enemy 25M in front of you in MW4.
For those crashing/BSOD with a INVALID_KERNEL_HANDLE:

This fixed it for me, it's due to a recent W11 update that causes BSOD's due to EasyAntiCheat. Some people just uninstall the update, I've instead just deleted the service (the guide above). Uninstalling update may trigger it to reinstall later or error and say you cannot uninstall.

Squad spawning need to be deleted. If someone flanks, their teammates can spawn on them. Who the heck is behind the idea? It's getting absurd to how many stupid ideas made it into this game after four years of development and their so-called "countless hours of playtesting".
No way you playtested the game for countless hours. If you pull the riot shield out when you originally had the primary out and then switch guns, it pulls the secondary out. Something so basic should've been caught during those "countless hours".
They don't even try to hide their lies anymore.
Pre-ordered vault edition just to cancel it in less than 48 hours of beta. Did IW even playtest this on KB+M at a higher skill level than bots? This is not enjoyable at all.
Servers are awful, gunplay is extremely inconsistent. No type of visibility or room for natural tracking. AA vs KB+M is cooked. AA just aims for you even if you don't see/track the player sliding around the map. Dying around corners is worse than ever before.
Bullet velocity is so damn slow that you often trade kills (kill each other) with ARs at a 10-15M range. Why?
The mechanic/movement of slide to ADS is damaging on mouse but rewarding on controller due to AA. Affected FoV setting is missing - what genius thought of that?
M4 with ammunition attachment to deal additional flinch vs. sniper does nothing but tickle them. No sort of flinch...
The maps.... I don't see any consideration for competitive CoD (CDL). It's going to be a run-and-gun year with little strategy/competitiveness - glorified pubs.
Footsteps - another year of Ninja crutch. Even with Ninja, it's not silent. Soundwhoring is back. You're rewarded to rat in corners. S&D is a disaster due to this (this was the final nail for me).
Speaking of perks, UAV spam (3 kills with Hardline perk) means Ghost is also a crutch now. SAM turret field upgrade at least mitigates that a bit.
I can keep listing so many more issues but nothing will change with MW4 - beyond no return.
IW spent 4 years developing a game with blindfolds and clearly never playtested it. So many flaws, this is absolutely DOA on KB+M.
It's not all bad. I really enjoy the new mantling system/speed, "fidelity" of graphics/models/animations/audio are great, heli can't be blown up with 1-7 mags of AR bullets - about time they make these killstreaks powerful.
Sad.
@AndThenISaid4@TheGhostOfHope 1) Calling GTA anything but a quality game is delusional.
2) I didn't assume shit, I simply stated you should go bitch about copy+paste garbage, your beef with GTA/R* is hilariously dumbfounded.
The only thing damaged is your brain.
"end of quality games" - go seek help.
GTA 5 sold 225M copies (second to Minecraft as most sold video game). If a video game from 2013 is still actively played today, the creators deserve every dollar.
Go bitch about copy+paste video games that release yearly with a couple of changes for a full $70-90 charge.
If the "2000" is your birth year, you clearly haven't experienced out stupid fast matchmaking was in the good ole' days of CoD with no disbanding lobbies.
It's 2026, nearly 2027, we have all the technological advancements at our fingertips. Requiring disbanding lobbies to ensure speedy matchmaking is a sloppy excuse.
@Steven4638@AnthroPhantasma@InfinityWard Not at all, y'all just missing the point.
I'm taking a jab related to their data report fiasco. The wording isn't the point here...
Activision/Studios need to learn how to parse and understand data. They're throwing 50% leave rate RE: disbanding lobbies without publicly noting that there's very very valid reasons to leave the match.
This 50% value is so meaningless and put out there as if it'll convince us otherwise. What if I want use the bathroom or grab water, or backed out to join friends? It's just pointless data.
Reasons to leave match:
- Prestige weapon (cannot while in lobby)
- Prestige player (cannot while in lobby)
- Change game mode/playlist
- Dislike map or repeated map
- etc.
@skoutoulis@SawyerMerritt@Tesla This mentality could be said about a lot of things. Clearly we need FSD, or at least improve quality of life significantly with FSD and similar alternatives.
We wouldn't need common sense laws if everyone used a brain and behaved.
You clearly cannot think like an adult so your post is DOA.
Adults on both sides would come to an agreement:
- guarantee property taxes won't be jacked up to an insane amount considering how much revenue the Bears will bring to the state and directly to their citizens (yes, it's not just the state that benefits but homeowners and SMB)
- promise to chip in more to help build out the infrastructure and be more involved in improving its fans' livelihoods and quality of life.
Both things can be true at once: both parties are at fault. Given the track record of Illinois and how it handles budget and taxes, I would rather take the side of the Bears - at least they are economically stable. At the end of the day, IL has awful tax policies and Bears have plenty of money to cough up.
No one pulled out their pitchforks for the 2008 parking meter privatization deal but all of sudden we're up in arms over this?
