Great to see, well done @RachLSingleton another key piece in our training portfolio sitting beside an Introduction to Design Thinking in the NICS Leadership Programme. This is as well as our stand alone offerings of 'Write Hooks' & 2 day Design Thinking Bootcamp. #Innovation
Yesterday @iLab_NI launched our service-wide training, introducing Leadership Program participants to #behaviouralscience. After 8yrs' project work, building awareness of the field and its importance, it's nothing short of a delight to watch the organisation embrace it.
A really interesting article from @beckymiller33 detailing the difference between #design and #digitaldesign. The #servicedesigners in @iLab_NI have experience of both and recognise the important distinction between them - really worth the 5 minute read.
In my time in @iLab_NI I’ve tried to advocate for Design across @HeadNICS . This article by Prof. @_JonathanSlater lays out both the need and value to NICS, citizens and Ministers in a very relatable way through his learned experience. If you can spare 5 mins please have a read.
For anyone working to design/develop policy in NICS this from the Policy Lab in uk is well worth 5 mins of your day. Has links to resources you can use to help develop thinking on policy in an innovative, collaborative and enjoyable way. #policydesign#innovation#gamification

Public Sector Innovation Conference 2022, Cork, Ireland - @RachLSingleton - @iLab_NI speaking on the role of behavioural science during the session on The Climate Emergency - The path forward for the public sector.
#behaviouraldesign being used by the @iLab_NI to break new ground and proving that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. #collaboration and real multi-disciplinary teamwork in action. Great to see the #advancecareplanningni policy launch today.
@iLab_NI behavioural science and service design are proud to have been a small part of this policy. Advance Care Planning - For Now and For the Future. For everyone.
Good to see this project getting to this stage. A real multi-disciplinary team effort and a first use of #behaviouraldesign being used by the @iLab_NI to help develop the #advancecareplanningni policy. A privilege to work so closely with @Cgrimes3 and her team.
Some projects capture your thoughts; some capture your heart.

Watching the life of someone you love deteriorate and then end is painful. Knowing their wishes and acting on them doesn't stop the grief but it's one less burden to carry.
