People actually believed the rumors that Microsoft will keep supporting physical as if they haven’t been the hardest push against owning games from over a decade now. They have no incentive to especially if the market leader Sony is abandoning it.
Microsoft’s upcoming Halo: Campaign Evolved is facing backlash after early copies revealed that the physical edition cannot be played straight from the disc.
According to images shared from an early PS5 Collector’s Edition copy, players must first:
>Download a mandatory update.
>Sign in with a Microsoft account before they can access the campaign.
This means the game isn’t fully playable offline out of the box, despite being sold on a physical disc.

It's shocking to me that people are still defending Halo Studios/343.
It took Microsoft 5 years to make a remake that isn't really a full remake of a 25 year old game. Meanwhile there is accusations of a toxic work environment. Cancelation of game's and the reuse of assets.
But yet us Halo fans are "ENTITLED" because we have standards. Well sorry if we need to call out bad leadership because it seems like that's what's going on in the studio.
@ShittyHaloTakes we could have had a full Halo Trilogy remake in one cohesive game with a multiplayer of some of the most iconic maps in the franchise, introducing a whole new group of people to the franchise, but instead we get $50 lazy halo infinite scraps.
@OverlyTrev@dbsb3233@RivianTrackr NACS has not always been available as an open standard and Tesla allowed access for other EVs with an adapter. Do you expect other EV manufacturers to magically move the charging ports on already sold cars or is it more reasonable to expect Tesla to just put in longer cables?
@WhiteHotRoom_HQ >Avengers don’t do shit constantly and barely get mentioned
>Spider-Man has been around for like 8 years and only fought the same 4 villains
>X-Men never existed and Wolverine and Jean grey are together
How the hell did insomniac manage to make the most bland universe
@JamieMoranUK IGN has mentioned it dozens of times. If you’re gonna shit on game journos at least do it for a valid reason instead of pretending like Microsoft is some underdog getting shit unfairly.
It just comes to a point that hating on XBOX has been more worn out than a hooker at a whore house 🏡 in the 1800s. Like they all suck but at least XBOX Will acknowledge people like @JoshuaKhane and reversed course a few times. SONY not only does it , that say fuck you doing it. Give it a rest already. I love seeing the comments too where people are just like shut the fuck up to these people who love to hate for the sake of hating
@danielfgnin@itslucasio@AceParty if they dont want the game playable before launch day they should not be shipping out the game before launch day instead of giving people basically blank discs.
@ShingujiBlade_ at launch certainly the 360 but the PS3 aged better later in the generation because of Blu Ray support, developers finally taking advantage of Cell, and the heavy price cuts. Not to mention the graveyard of early 360 models from RROD.
@mrjb260191@GTAVInewz They could have made it serve a purpose in the story easily. In GTA IV you’d regularly unlock different safe houses throughout the story, including an optional one.
