@OctopusEnergy with IOG cap coming in, if you smart charge for 10 minutes in on peak you’re saying we get the whole half hour block as off peak rate, great. But does that count as 10 minutes or 30 minutes of the 6 hour daily limit of car charging.

@OhmeEV my app is saying it can’t communicate with the charger and when I open the app it’s saying it is max charging right now yet the charger isn’t even plugged in to a car. I’ve turned charger off and it’s still doing it? What is happening?

Hey octopus can you make this make sense? I’ve been unexpectedly credited £187.61 in total yet my remaining balance is £32.47 down to how it started. Bills not due to be issued until the 19th.

@agile_phil @OhmeEV @OctopusEnergy And you’re still going to offer the option to limit to only 6 hours charging? I don’t want any risk of being charged full on peak costs. I put a lot of faith into octopus buying the charger from you and going on your recommended tariff for you to change it 2 months in.

@robstewartUK @agile_phil @AppleBytesPhD @ScotlandTheGr8 @sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy If they’re going to limit charging to 6 hours it needs to not throttle at all. They can not put time limits on charging and then allow different users to get more or less energy because the charger throttles trying to balance the grid. I’ve seen less than 1kWh charging on mine.

What happens when hundreds and thousands of your customers are still getting throttled and being charged more for energy they could have gotten in the 6 hour window easily? Using the very chargers you sell?

That it shouldn’t be throttling or your implementation has not taken this into account at all even though it’s working as designed? These are the chargers you recommend, supply and install. And people will be losing out even when using IOG as you ask them to!
