Good day everyone especially to all members of TYF and lovers of Yoruba heritage and identity.
I want to state somethings categorically clear and straightforward.

1. No member of TYF or anyone using TYF logo should engage in bashing any Yoruba group or bloc in the name of making online points. If you do, you are not speaking on behalf of TYF, you are speaking on your own.
2.TYF is not a group, it is an institution with ethics and sound principles. We will not descend into the gutters of twitter squabbles with anyone who intentionally defames us, defames any Yoruba group or identity. We will respond appropriately at the right time to anyone who is currently defaming us or has done it in the time pass. We will also be grateful to wonderful Yoruba people to send us posts or audio conversations where allegations are made against TYF or executives of TYF. Six years of silence is not stupidity, it is discipline and it’s time for proper actions both home and abroad.
3. No TYF member should engage in bashing any religion in Yorubaland. If you have done so in the past, please kindly desist from such going forward.
4. Religious extremism has no place in Yorubaland and no amount of hiding under vague terms like Islamophobia or Christianophobia will stop us from calling out or critiquing extreme ideologies in our midst. We are just starting and we will face them headlong before they turn Yorubaland into another Maiduguri or Zamfara where extremists have silenced moderates and turned everyone into zombies.
5. I have seen people say TYF is looking the other way when TYF executives are insulted and their origin like Ondo heritage is pilloried. We see it and we are extremely appalled by such terrible behaviours but we are not reactionaries, we will respond not react at the appropriate time. It is not unacceptable but this is not the first time TYF excos are targeted including myself because of the subgroup we come from in Yorubaland by people who have nothing going on for them apart from Twitter gossips and fights.
6. I am also asking TYF members especially those known to be close to leadership of TYF to ignore rage baiting arguments of those who want to insult any Oba in Yorubaland due to present or past grouse or personal scores. Many people have an unhealthy obsession about TYF and they will use any opportunity to carpet TYF and we are grateful for this because it shows we are relevant and formidable via the help of the almighty. Therefore, TYF members should ignore or mute toxic conversations where subgroups or prominent Yoruba Obas are being pilloried and if you speak on such matter, always say it that you are speaking in your own capacity not TYF.

Why did I say this? This has to be said because I have realised that not all of us have the ability to compartmentalize and ignore gossips and distractions. This is why I am writing this because not everyone has that Spartan discipline of not getting distracted.

Since last year, some handles have continuously rage baited me and TYF because we unequivocally stood against Sharia penal code in a multi religious and highly charged society like Southwest. Since then they have been using unstable characters to defame and throw missiles at us.

We are not moved or discouraged.
To all wonderful and amiable members of TYF on social media, we must be laser focused and alert on this app. Chaos is the biggest tool of those who want to destroy you. No great institution like ours can be built in an atmosphere of chaos. Deny them the oxygen of chaos and watch detractors wither away.

In the next 50 years, many of us reading this tweet would have been gone. Ask yourself what will be our legacy? Regrets or thanks?

We will overcome and we shall triumph.
