I don't believe it's because of vibe coding.
This is a post-hoc fallacy. These apps have always been buggy. They have always been under terrible engineering practices. AI didn't really change that much, especially considering how slow these companies jumped on the AI bandwagon.
Code is increasing with AI because of vibe coding, also bugs are increasing at a higher rate! Apple and Netflix are not what they used to be, so many bugs!
But why are automated tests not increasing at the same rate?
Today, we’re excited to introduce Miso One, the most emotive voice model in the world.
Miso One is an 8-billion-parameter text-to-speech model for highly expressive speech generation. It emotes like a human and responds faster than a human, with just 110 milliseconds of latency.
We’ve open-sourced the model weights, with API access coming soon.
Hear how Miso One sounds in the thread below.
Today, we’re launching Reve 2.0, the best 4K image model in the world.
We invented a new way to generate and edit any image using precise layouts. For the first time, it’s possible to create images you can touch.
Haven’t spoken about it much here yet but yes, I have ported enough of Kubernetes to TypeScript that I have a running cluster on a web page. The containers aren’t proper containers, they’re defined with a TypeScript API I’ve made.
