I was devastated to learn this morning that my friend @jasonstrong01 passed away this weekend after bravely battling cancer. He was an extraordinary, larger than life man — a brilliant philosopher and student of history and politics. A talented musician. Traveler. Right-minded patriot who loved this country despite being victimized by our corrupted criminal justice system. Jason was wrongfully convicted in 2000 for a murder he didn’t commit. He spent 15 years behind bars before being fully exonerated and holding the government accountable with a successful civil suit against the law enforcement officials who fabricated the false murder narrative, coerced false confessions and witness statements, withheld exculpatory evidence, and rested their case on medical examiner Mark Witeck’s junk science testimony.
