So if those (very common) goals were the goal, maybe it didn’t work

@ElvinYung @nick_pennie Nope. He gave a hardware wallet with $50 worth of ETH. So someone new to crypto wanting to cash out needs to figure out how to use an exchange, complete KYC, pay gas to transfer it, fees to sell it, and withdraw what (if anything) is left to their bank account

@Knight_JKK @cryptojourneyrs There's no evidence at all to indicate that ever happened, and it was ruled as inadmissable when the government suggested it in court

Also notable that the two agents in charge of the case ended up going to prison themsevles for robbing millions from Silk Road wallets themselves
