The story of 2 Indias…the spectacular and the squalor.
This is the main reason why we are not a tourism super destination of the world.
We need to install 10 million waste bins in each and every corner of India and a QR code based system to empty them daily

Shared 7 months back and the stock is 50%+ up after that.
The company is getting orders in new segments and the last year's margin was due to decrease in prices not volumes of their commodity business.

How to invest. There is no clean listed AI stock in India, so buy the picks and shovels. Grid and transformers. Cooling. Cables. Gensets. Water. Operators fight over market share. Suppliers simply get paid to build all of it. The quiet compounding trade.
None are reco.
India will not win the AI race by building a better ChatGPT. That war is lost to players with deeper pockets and a head start. But there is a race India can win, and it is bigger. Becoming the cheapest and greenest place on Earth to run AI.
Lets look at the power infrastructre.
Power is the real moat and the real bottleneck. It is 25 to 30% of a data centre bill. India wasted 300 GWh of clean power in early 2026 as the wires could not carry it. Fix transmission first and AI demand funds the whole clean energy build worth 9.15 lakh crore.
CP Plus just released its annual report. Let's look at some super interesting insights shared by the market leader in CCTVs in India:
1. The market-share jump was a REGULATORY event, not a sales one. Share went 20.2% → 43.3% in a single year — because mandatory STQC certification + the exit of Chinese brands (~⅓ of the market) cleared the field. CP Plus, already compliant, swept it up. They flagged exactly this at the IPO.
2. They're building India's first home-grown camera "brain." A JV with L&T Semiconductor to co-develop an indigenous Vision-AI SoC — planned to power 9M cameras — "decoupling production from global semiconductor volatility."
3. The real margin lever isn't the P&L — it's the bill-of-materials. In-house lenses (5 lakh→1M/month), a 30M-capacity housing plant, a cable JV with Orient Cables → targeting >50% BOM localisation, "permanent operating leverage" sequenced to FY28.
4. It's quietly becoming a software company.
ezyKam+ cloud subscriptions, OnVigil, AMS. VSaaS is the fastest-growing segment. Recurring revenue + hardware stickiness — the optionality hardware multiples ignore.
5. The factory muscle is Dixon. "Manufacturing" runs through AIL-Dixon — a 50:50 JV with Dixon Technologies, India's EMS champion (whose VC&MD sits on the board). AIL sells; Dixon builds.
6. They weaponise their channel. System integrators who did CP Plus training saw business grow up to 300%. 30,000+ partners. They make dealers richer instead of cutting price — loyalty, not discounts.
7. A good-better-best pincer on the ~57% they don't own. EYRA (value/rural, aimed at cheap imports) + NEXIVUE + a CP Plus Pro Series (premium) — attacking the bottom and top of the market at once.
8. The leader has barely scratched demand.
India runs 0.6–3.7 cameras per 1,000 people in most cities — vs ~79 in Hyderabad. Add 74,000 rail coaches to wire and a market heading to $7.8 bn by 2031.
India's No.1 camera brand compounding story is actually a distributor turning a regulatory window into silicon, software and a supply chain rivals can't copy.
