This is to notify the general public that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will activate the INECPRES for interested Applicants who wish to serve as ad-hoc staff during the 2027 General Election as scheduled below:

i. The activation of INECPRES on Friday, 18 September 2026 by 8:00am and closes on Wednesday, 18th Nov,2026 by 12 midnight.

ii. The Online application will be available on the INEC website via the link https://t.co/NrU5zYMdc5 (for both mobile App. and the Web Application).

BREAKING: UNIZIK lecturer, Prof. Ifeanyi Sunny Odineye, has been suspended for three months with half salary over alleged contravention of the university's General and Academic Regulations.

The decision was made after an interim report that will be conclusive in the next two weeks. The committee held that Odinye violated the school regulations by with helding the phone recovered during the exam misconduct and failing to report the student.
Odinye was a week ago stripped by suspected students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, for allegedly attempting to take advantage of a female student whom he had previously caught engaging in examination malpractice.
