Why H.E. Atiku Abubakar is my Hero
1. ATIKU 2019: โI will privatize NNPCโ
CRITICS: He will sell it to himself
Government 2022: Commercialized NNPC
2. ATIKU 2023: โI will privatize the 3 refineries: Kaduna, Warri, and PHโ
CRITICS: He wants to sell them to his friends
GOVERNMENT: Abandoned the 3 refineries and depends so much on the Dangote refinery.
3. ATIKU 2019/2023: โI will devolve powers to the statesโ
CRITICS: He cannot do it. He's deceiving the South. He wants to sell Nigeria
GOVERNMENT: Removed some items from the exclusive list to the concurrent list
4. ATIKU 2026: โI will restore fuel subsidy
CRITICS: He wants to take us back to corruption
GOVERNMENT: 30-day discount subsidy
Thanks

HE Atiku and his Vice, former governor Rotimi Amaechi, visited a fueling station today in a direct effort to see, experience, and reassure the masses of their plan to make Nigeria affordable again.
Mins ago a bypass Ina tuki naga wani yana tsayar dani, I stopped cos maybe he needed help. Ashe Jack yake nima, na sauko naje boot zan chiro, sai naji Omologo na blasting daga EOD dinsa. I quietly closed my boot, entered my car and drove off. Omologo ta sai mai jack dan uwassa.
Took time to read and digest Atikuโs subsidy plan.
THE POLICY - Restore subsidy, but only as a production subsidy, not an import subsidy i.e. Subsidise Nigerian production, not foreign importation.
IN SHORT - Produce here. Refine here. Create jobs here. Pay less here (put cheaper fuel into Nigerian pockets).
HOW?
โข Restore subsidy, but move it from importation to production.
โข Support is tied only to crude refined in Nigeria. If you do not refine here, you do not qualify.
โข Government reduces the cost of crude feedstock into qualifying domestic refineries through a capped, transparent, independently verified mechanism.
โข Lower input cost leading to lower production
