@anashid77@HKurusee Renting out social housing is not allowed in most countries. The monthly rent is subsidised (approx. 1/3rd of commercial apartments). Social housing doesn’t mean free housing.
@dancingislands The questions is are we delivering 7-8 hours of productive work per day, while having time for all those things mentioned and restful sleep as well? If yes, is the salary sufficient to meet average living expenses without having to take up a second job?
@dancingislands Not in usual places in Maldives or while on site jobs. It becomes less flexible at very senior levels too. But on a design job an emergency that can’t wait for 12hrs would be rare and employers can easily setup a strictly no personal mobile phone boundary
Just out of curiosity, does the cats go out by themselves to do food shopping and pay the rent and bills by themselves too? Stray cats of Dhivehiraajje has come a long way
This data means nothing unless you compare it against the % of active social media users among registered voters, rule out the bot accounts and discount repetitive engagement from the same account. Very “low quality” conclusion from HK
A top university research student has analysed 6 months of social media data (X & FB) using a Bayesian sentiment model. Her findings show @ibusolih currently enjoys a 65% approval rating, @faya_i 32%, @abdulla_shahid 27%, @MohamedNasheed 55%, @MMuizzu 21%, @prz_ymn 30%.

Controversial opinion here: History is not that black and white. Considering the ongoing impact of India Pakistan partition (also supported by British), not entirely sure if this would have been a positive thing long term even if it continued
Addu separated from Maldives between 1959 and 1963, formed United Suvadive Republic due to dissatisfaction with Maldivian gov’s dominance and economic neglect. Here’s the letter sent by Addu President Afif to Prime Minister of Maldives Nasir on 3 July 1961 requesting relations between the two nations.
Addu had their own currency, flag, bank, parliament etc. They ran as a separate nation for 3 years.
@shuibs@hamza_latheef This is demeaning to the people who actually needed it. If they queued hrs for masdhalhu case, it shows a wider issue in our wage system. And no, the same category of people are neither going to romanticise it, nor going to have time to protest for wider issues in the system.
If the drivers wishes to join this taxi fleet, being an employee would take away that uncertainty related to monthly expenditure because that would become the responsibility of the taxi fleet owner.
Doesn’t this mean public would now have the option to choose between the more reliable, safe and affordable service? The current service is a bit substandard. Bank transfer and Viber receipt system involves revealing personal info (phone no) to random strangers
Parking space, car maintenance cost, taxi licence fees, and fuel cost are some of the factors driving taxi trip prices based on concerns voiced by taxi drivers previously. So based on that drivers are barely making any profit.
We can’t stop celebrating days like Women’s day and and International Day of Women and Girls in Science, etc until general perception about women changes. We are not objects and majority of us are in the workforce because we do a damn good job with integrity.
Kurusee rewriting his version of history without verification as usual. Been there! Seen them! Was far from finished. Guess desperate situations call for desperate lies 🤷🏻♀️
