@dancingislands Not in usual places in Maldives or while on site jobs. It becomes less flexible at very senior levels too. But on a design job an emergency that can’t wait for 12hrs would be rare and employers can easily setup a strictly no personal mobile phone boundary

Here’s the letter sent by Addu President Afif to Prime Minister of Maldives Nasir on 3 July 1961 requesting relations between the two nations.

Addu had their own currency, flag, bank, parliament etc. They ran as a separate nation for 3 years.
