🚨 Political prisoner Issa Chari, 37, a poultry farmer and father of two, sentenced to death in Iran on charges of PMOI membership and "anti-security" activities.

His sentence was handed down by Judge Mohammad Mehdi Shahmirzadi of Branch 23 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court.

Background:

Issa Chari (Isa Chari), a member of Iran's Baluchi minority and a resident of Aq Qala in Golestan Province, was arrested on 7 December 2025 in Varamin, where he worked on a poultry farm. He was recently transferred from Khorin Prison in Varamin to solitary confinement in Ward 35 of Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. His family had received no information about his situation prior to the transfer.

Mehdi Khanaki was executed in Iran at dawn today. A pro democracy activist in the Iranian Resistance, in January 2026 he participated in anti-regime protests. Arrested on 10 February 2026, Khanaki was a 26-year-old law graduate. Following his arrest, he was severely tortured. The regime’s systemic and endemic use of torture and the death penalty is designed to strike fear and to create a reign of terror. It has had the opposite effect. 🚨 Political prisoner Amir-Hassan Akbari-Monfared, 24, an accounting student, has been sentenced to death in Iran.

Arrested in an armed raid on his father's home in Tehran on 19 January 2025 and immediately subjected to brutal torture, he is currently imprisoned in Evin Prison.

Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolghasem Salavati, sentenced him to death on the charge of "baghi" (armed rebellion) through membership in the PMOI (MEK). He was informed of the sentence two days ago.

Amir-Hassan's relatives were executed during the #1988Massacre of thousands of political prisoners.

For more than sixty years—across two dictatorships and countless acts of state-sponsored terror—Mr. Olia practiced a unique kind of art that was an act of defiance. Working from a studio in the medieval town of Fiano Romano, twenty-five miles north of Rome, he cast in bronze the likenesses of those the clerical dictatorship had executed or tortured, and those who fought back. Each statue was a refusal to let the regime write the final record.

His subjects ranged from Neda Agha-Soltan, killed during Iran’s 2009 protests, to Navid Afkari, the wrestler executed in 2020; from Reyhaneh Jabbari to Baktash Abtin, the dissident poet who died in prison. He also made busts of the Iranian Resistance’s own fallen, including Mohammad Hanifnejad, the founding leader of the People’s Mojahedin Organization.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, welcomed the belated decision by the United Kingdom to proscribe the IRGC and described it as a necessary step for peace, stability, and security in the region and globally.
The Iranian Resistance has declared the IRGC, since its inception, as the primary tool of violence and repression of the theocracy ruling Iran.
