@OccamsBraiser We’re doing almost exactly the same thing Mexico did that resulted in them losing all of their northern territories. Mexico invited American settlers into Texas to develop it, and once they became the overwhelming majority, they seceded to join their ethnic brethren in the U.S.

@Nightis_ @WallStreetApes The territory acquired during the Mexican-American War was settled by millions of Americans, reducing the small local populations to a tiny minority. The population remained overwhelmingly White until the last few decades. Virtually all Mexicans in the U.S. are recent immigrants.
