@titavius Hey, I love your work.
1) is there a way to support you and your collaborators on your mods?
2) is there a way to download your mods if the PWM site isn't working?
I wrote in the Globe and Mail about how Canada needs better pathways to permanent residency for temporary workers and international students. #Cdnimm#cdnpoli#cdnecon https://t.co/b9tgvkwwCP
Our new research shows that “Canadian experience” has no consistent definition, reducing the efficacy of the immigration system and leading immigrants to invest in activities with unreliable economic returns.

@CitImmCanada announced a strategy to expand transitions to permanent residency. The strategy doesn't address the broader issues in the system.@ConfBoardofCda research will provide guidance on how temporary worker and international student pathways can be redesigned.

Don’t underestimate the Value of Stats! We’ve got Ian Reeve from the @ConfBoardofCda, RCIC Chris Daw, and LLB Sharry Aiken at #NCIC2022 giving us the 411 on the importance of these numbers in immigration!
I'll be on @CBCSask Blue Sky at 12 CST today to discuss Canada's immigration response to the invasion of Ukraine and how it could inform our reaction to future refugee crises. #cdnimm#refugee#UkraineRussiaWar#Ukraine
#Immigrants in rural communities have the same #settlement needs as their urban peers, but local settlement services are often funded to provide a limited range of service types. Language training and employment services are common gaps.

In an interview with @NewCdnMedia I speak about the importance of settlement funding increasing alongside ambitious immigration levels plans to ensure immigrant success.

My op-ed in the @globeandmail argues that setting ambitious immigration targets is only half the story. Without a focus on successfully settling newcomers, neither immigrants nor Canada benefits fully. #cdnimm#cdnpoli

But there is work to do to speed up economic integration. Newcomers still face significant barriers to finding work that fits their skills, education, and experience. Improving pathways to appropriate employment benefits newcomers and Canada.
The new immigration levels plan calls for 431,645 permanent residents this year and a target of 451,000 in 2024. These are record levels that can deliver incredible benefits for the Canadian economy and society. #cndimm#cdnpoli
