My now/next app to display the @emfcamp schedule on the @pimoroni Badger 2040 W is now compatible with the original non-W version of the badge with an offline mode and local copy of this year's (main stage) schedule. Available from https://t.co/fsYjpvRDjM
@an0key@pimoroni@emfcamp Thanks! The bits are all on github if you want to get started with it. There will be more updates once this year's schedule is confirmed though. It will work in offline mode for Non-W badges now too! https://t.co/fsYjpvR5ue
So maybe kinda the wrong badge but my @pimoroni Badger 2040 W can now show the @emfcamp schedule like it's 2022! The intention is that it will refresh every 10 mins or so and always have now/next on display without needing to reconnect to WiFi/use power etc.
@jtruk@pimoroni@emfcamp https://t.co/fsYjpvR5ue if you want to have a look. The API adapter is likely to change before EMF, which shouldn't really affect you for a static version, but it's there as-is for now.
@G__J__C @pimoroni@emfcamp https://t.co/fsYjpvR5ue in case you do have the W! The API adapter is likely to change before EMF but it's there as-is for now.
@jtruk@pimoroni@emfcamp Yeah. I will do. Just adding a couple more things to it and testing a bit more first. If you manage to get something static working, I expect @drbrian will be interested too.
@jtruk@pimoroni@emfcamp Thanks! Yeah, it's refreshing over WiFi and just getting now/next for the 3 main stages at the moment. I guess you could make a static copy of the schedule to load into an app or maybe the ebook reader?
@G__J__C @pimoroni@emfcamp Yeah, I'd like to. It only covers the main stages btw as that's all I was really intending to do. I might be tempted to make it more general over the next few weeks though.
@RamonesKaraoke@maker_space I'm trying mine the warm and dry way this evening with good results. The detector outside on the window sill and headphones that reach to the sofa! It's getting a bit too dark to see them now though.
